Comments:
Magistrate Reyome displays classic upper-class privilege on the bench with his lack of compassion and understanding for indigent defendants. In an effort to be viewed as “cool” to on-lookers, he will regularly make quips and comments that are unprofessional for a judicial officer, once even saying to a defendant, “We don’t do that in this country.” (Defendant was American citizen but person of color.) His interrogations of those seeking the assistance of public defenders is demeaning and unnecessary considering he has the paperwork in front of him to determine whether one qualifies for a public defender or not. It is logical to assume that his questioning is more so an attempt to condescend and humiliate those asking as his reasoning for not appointing is usually followed up with a snidely-toned, “You’re not poor.”

While he clearly understands the law and makes effort to enforce it fairly, this is regularly overshadowed by his attitude, which is flavored with narcissism and privilege.

Comments:
Judge Reyome is a liability in the justice system. He allows hardcore criminals to get back on the streets with ease. Lowers Bond amounts to violent criminals. He needs to be removed from the bench.

The comments below are from Criminal DEFENSE lawyers for he let their clients go without bond.

Comments:
Judge Reyome displayed no preference towards whether a party was the plaintiff or the defendant. He simply executed the most fair decisions based on Indiana law. He treated every party involved fairly and respectfully.

Having had the privilege to observe Judge Reyome, I must honestly report he represents excellence in presiding over a courtroom. All parties receive fair, concise, and patient treatment. Judge Reyome considers each case carefully based on individual circumstances, and appears to genuinely enjoy his job and assisting the parties involved in his cases.
