Judge Brown forced a 10 year old girl to choose between her own safety or sending her mother to jail, if the child did not agree to go with her abusive father. After media attention exposed the judge's cruelty towards the child and her mother, the judge now disingenuously claims she didn't mean to coerce the child to go with her father.

I don't think that a judge that puts a child in such a position and then lies about her own misconduct is fit for the bench. This is not a one off mistake. Instead, it shows this judge has poor judgement and is susceptible to indoctrination by a irresponsible, ludicrous, and disproven pseudoscience called "parental alienation", which posits that children and women usually lie about abuse and that not having contact with an abuser is worse than the abuse itself, even if it's sexual abuse. In fact, "parental alienation" was created by a pedophiliac NY psychologist named Richard Gardner in the 1980s. It's a wonder that courts have been swayed to believe such nonsense, but for the fact that this pseudoscience prolongs conflict in favor of powerful, abusive men, to the financial benefit of the attorneys and parental alienation experts involved.
