This Judge would go outside the law. She would simply make up her mind and rule on her personal opinion not the law. I understand she stepped down because she had Alzheimer’s related issue. Shame on her to stay on the bench knowing her had major medical memory issues. This is a crime but nothing will be done. She made warped decisions that affected people’s life. Shame on you and all who knew.

I am from Texas so is my 7 year old daughter. My daughter's grandma took her to Maryland to visit a son she has and filed for custody with Maryland courts and told me I could not get her back according to the courts. I was never served papers but I looked online made calls and This judge Callahan granted custody. I'm having a hard time getting permission to bring My Daughter back to Texas where she belongs. All because of a child thief grandma and this judge.

Judge Callahan is simply supporting the DHHS-CWS agenda of using unconstitutional and illegal acts to steal children from their rightful family and adopt them out under false pretence for the sole reason of funding the Department with Federal Reimbursement via the ASFA and in violation of the False Claims act. All of this is done in a private courtroom, out of the public eye, while using a child's right to anonymity to keep the cases sealed from any form of accountability.

I agree with the statements of other participants that she reaches judgement before all the facts are heard. My attorney informed me just before the trial about what she is inclined to do and I ended up to signing up custody case purely under duress. She is malleable, and she shaped her opinion under the pressure of the influential attorney of the opposite side.I already knew everything that she wants to rule on the case three days before the trial. She gave preferences to the parent who was uninvolved into patenting , abusive , and who admitted some of his faults in the court room.
She also refused to rule out about the matter that was important for the case and many hours was spent on the matter. That shows how little she cares. She is prejudiced and rude towards people whose first language is not English. Her court orders are sloppy and paragraphs sometimes contradict to each other.
Ultimately, the fact that she takes domestic abuse easily, and awards abusers rights that she takes from another parent is extremely alarming and unacceptable

People need to vote out Judge Callahan. She is a bad judge. A very bad judge, in fact a lawyer friend of mine in Virginia mentioned that all lawyers know that the judges of Montgomery County are the worst in the country. CALLAHAN was scheduled to hear my case and in a slight of hand for the high profile attorney my Ex hired Judge Jordan took over when our case didn’t get settled Callahan stepped back in. She knew NOTHING about our case and yet she was completely prejudiced against me. Due to back channel gossip. Journalist have let the good people of Montgomery County for not holding the judges accountable. Judge Callahan is a bad judge she should be removed from the bench. They shouldn’t be allowed to hide their unethical deeds in private hearings.

Cynthia Callahan rules on her emotions and reaches judgments early in a case before all of the facts are heard. She is thin-skinned and very insecure. More frighteningly, she is the worst type of bigot one finds in contemporary America--a bigot who wears black robes and who therefore can get away with her bigotry, especially in family law cases where privacy concerns prevent the public from learning about her immoral and dishonest conduct.

What judge Kallahan did is she gave legal custody to the parent who admitted that he was leaving the child locked and unsupervised in the vehicle multiple times and did not believe it was a big deal. The father admitted his abusive actions as well, and yet she favoured him while making a decision. She also gave legal rights to the parent who never initiated any medical visits, and punished mother, who never took drugs, worked and took care of her children.Shame.

Honorable Judge Callahan:
As you are one of the very few family law judges who works toward “just” results, you must look into Judge Ryon’s inexplicably decision in the Eric Holt case. It was the most ludicrous decision ever, and handed over kids to a co firmed abuser. She (Ryon) is either on drugs, or so sick in the head, she thought she was doling out justice. The boy’s mother was found dead on mother’s day. Her death is on RYON’s hands. You will see as this case and the whole full blown farce of parental alienation is dissected and shown to be the culprit in handing kids to their abuser snd away from the only normal parent they have, snd away from their only protection. Please read the many articles on Holt case, including in Forbes. The upcoming media reports will make mockery of your court, and rightly so.

Judge Callahan NEEDS to take these comments seriously and clean up her courthouse. She should not allow all the current male judges to work against women and children. What goes on in this wealthiest county of the country's wealthiest state, is a disgrace. Callahan needs to clone herself and put each of "her" in each courtroom, after deriding them of the shams.

Justice Callahan is - shockingly - a judge who follows the law, and does not get swept away by the BS litigants and their attorneys try to push her way.
Finally, a real judge who works toward just results. How surprising.
Keep her on the bench!!!

I totally agree with four previous comments:1)"Watch out she is doing things behind closed doors". She makes judgments before learning the facts in family cases 2)"Blatently disregards facts""She does what she wants when she wants no matter the law.".3)"she never lets the facts or the law get in the way of doing what she thinks should be done". 4)"Her own bias comes through in her decision. "
Very dissapoining.

Weak judge.
Thinks she's God's gift to the court.
Has the audacity to offer advice to lawyers on improving their trial skills.
Really? She should worry about her own skills instead!

Blatently disregards facts. Seems to be biased against men. Escalates spending with court appointed experts and then does not follow expert's recommendations. Her own bias comes through in her decision.

Nice person, but not as smart as she thinks she is. Tends to view matters from the "Montgomery County" perspective (i.e. everyone has money). I think she does try to be fair, but she never lets the facts or the law get in the way of doing what she thinks should be done. She can be condescending to parties and attorneys.

I appeared before Judge Callahan for a civil motion and obseerved her through the entire docket. She was patient, exercised control over the courtroom, respectful of all parties and attorneys and gave sound, calm reasons for her decisions. She engaged in colloquy with counsel to get to the critical issue in dispute and decided the cases on the merits.
