One of the best judges I have been before in over 25 years of litigation. She understood the issues and was able to get down to the pertinent facts. Great disposition

She threw out my case not base on case law, but on dicta and her own prejudice against banks. She does operate on the assumption that banks are always evil. Borrowers can be just as evil- especially when they dont want to pay their mortgage when they DO have the ability to pay.

She is a very fair judge. Even when she rules against you, she will give you pointers on how to improve, and will let you know why she ruled against you in a fair way.

Nice person, but not as smart as she thinks she is. Tends to view matters from the "Montgomery County" perspective (i.e. everyone has money). I think she does try to be fair, but she never lets the facts or the law get in the way of doing what she thinks should be done. She can be condescending to parties and attorneys.

Comment #: MD1350
Very patient and polite

Comment #: MD1339
She makes judgments before learning the facts in family cases. All in all, she is generally fair. The condescension is unnecessary.

I appeared before Judge Callahan for a civil motion and obseerved her through the entire docket. She was patient, exercised control over the courtroom, respectful of all parties and attorneys and gave sound, calm reasons for her decisions. She engaged in colloquy with counsel to get to the critical issue in dispute and decided the cases on the merits.
