The following comment about one of this judge's absurd rulings, along with similar comments critical of this judge's past performance and fitness for the bench, keep finding themselves deleted from this site. At the same time, the bottom few favorable ones, unbelievable fantasy as they are, are saved, as if by the judge herself. This was most noticible just before the last judicial election. It doesn't take a genius to see the motive behind such hack attacks.
If the bottom comments really are from Criminal Defense attorneys, they must have had career criminal or illegal amigo clients who committed horrendous crimes. Of course they’re happy that Judge Creighton got them off, and now they show gratitude by fawning over her with falsities about her “legal acumen and judicial management.” What a joke! “Fair, smart and understanding”? Are those lawyers on drugs?
Let’s face it, Judge Creighton was appointed by Governor O’Malley to fill a slot on the bench for Hispanic “Diversity.” Not only was her mother a citizen of Ecuador, as a current member of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association and organizations which promote the “rights” of illegal or “undocumented” Hispanics, she fit the requirements. However, no sooner was she appointed she attended a lavish reception in her honor by CASA de Maryland, the local affiliate of National Council of LaRaza (the “Race”). For those who are not familiar with LaRaza, it is the militant organization which advocates the “ReConquesta” by force of arms of the southwestern United States and its return to Mexico. It is an organization that has been called “dangerous” and “inherently racist” by the late Caesar Chavez among others. From that point on it became abundantly clear to Judge Creighton on what side her bread was buttered.
One of her first cases on the bench was a simple motor vehicle tort claim in which a citizen was rammed at 96 m.p.h. and permanently maimed for life by an illegal alien (a “landscaper” who spoke no English) after he ran the intersection which the citizen had properly entered on a green light.
In that case, marked by extreme bias shown by the judge throughout trial, Judge Creighton ruled that it was not the illegal, but rather the citizen who was at fault, for not driving fast enough to get out of the way of the illegal alien who blasted into the intersection.
She further violated Canons of Judicial Ethics, first by her failure to disclose her Conflict of Interest at the start of the trial and recuse herself, and then her cover-up of a felony known to her to have been committed by the defense attorney which was material to that case, which she not only declined to remedy but failed to report as required under Canon 3F.
Most revealing about Maryland’s judicial system is that in spite of the Commission on Judicial Disabilities’ knowledge of Judge Creighton’s misfit for a position on the bench, her criminal cover-up, her history of dishonesty, and the impartiality and impropriety she brought with her to the bench, they did nothing, instead letting her rise to a level of her own incompetence.
It is said that Mexico’s judiciary is one of the world’s most corrupt. With judges such as Creighton, can Montgomery County be far behind?

As those who practice in MoCo's Circuit Court by now well know, as well as those who risk arguing their case before her, Audrey Creighton not only has a history of bad decisions, but absurd and shameless decisions, both on and off the bench.

As previously noted on this site, The Washington Post on 7/15/14 reported that Audrey Creighton is now under investigation by the Commission on Judicial Disabilities. What they did not report is that this is not the first time that she has been before the CJD on ethics charges. Not only did the Commission fail to do its job the last time around, the nominating committee failed miserably in its vetting process, and/or Creighton lied to them about her past.

Not the brightest bulb on the bench. Far from it! In District Court, whenever a decision was required, she would announce a recess, as if to make a call from chambers to whoever was advising her. When returning to the bench, more often than not, still she couldn't get it right. How did she ever get to be a judge?

I had a trial with Judge Creighton and was very impressed with the way she handled the matter. She made appropriate inferences, listened to the witnesses, and was cognizant of the law. She took the matter under advisement for approximately 30 minutes, during which time she thoroughly reviewed the evidence and made an intelligent ruling.

Judge Creighton lacks even the most basic understanding of trial mechanics, she seems to lack an appreciation for the law, and she is overwhelmingly unimpressive as a jurist. She didn't belong on the District Court bench and certainly is unqualified to sit in the Circuit Court.

Judge Creighton will likely exceed the expectations generated by her high levels of legal acumen and judicial management.

Perhaps the governor should be more consistent in his appointments.
