The Honorable Judge Richardo Zwaig is highly competent. He is a good listener, understanding and fair minded. I have the highest regard for this Judge. Howard County is fortunate to have Judge Zwaig on the bench.

VERY FUNNY, FAIR, SMART, BEST JUDGE I EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! He helped so much my daughter and comprehend everything. he saw her for at lest 2 years and still was fair with her. The Honorable Judge Zwaig is extremely cerebral. A treatment oriented Judge, he holds protecting our community and neighborhoods in high regard. That said, Judge Zwaig has a treatment-oriented approach and you can literally trust him with your Client's life. He loves to see family involvement and he uses every power and resource available to ensure fairness to Defendant's. Deep knowledge of the law is his forte. He is patient and kind to all when appropriate. He is stern and fatherly to wrongdoers. He reads all your pleadings and ponders them as they are filed and is exceedingly astute. It is pleasure to appear before Judge Zwaig and I say get thee to Circuit Court and beyond. Truly a mental giant who honors our County.

Must be the smartest guy in the room. Forgets that he is not to litigate with the attorneys. Will bend over backwards against the law. Is a complete Chauvinist pig and routinely demeans women and makes inappropriate comments to and about them. A total failure of the appointment process and takes everything personally. He is vindictive towards litigants and attorneys.

He is close-minded, polite, but judgemental. He will use other prior cases in conjunction wit a current which is irrelevant! He will let people who HIRE/pay for a private attorney make deals and pleas for severe charges down to almost nothing. [Redacted by Ed.]

Hon. Ricardo Zwaig did not understand the written law. I stated the law that we were in court for and he stated "Well, you know, that may be the law but I think that would, you know, I also have to consider the spirit of the law and a mere technicality in that situation would not necessarily entitle you, if in fact you are assured that there is a one-year warranty."
He completely disregards the law here and considers 'the spirit of the law'. This is a court of law, how can he disregard the law?

This guy was a great guy and and a great defense attorney, but he's not so great a judge. He is very state-oriented. He does not listen to anyone, as he thinks that he is the smartest person in the courtroom. He's getting worse the longer he sits. (Out of the courtroom, though, he is still a great guy.)
