What others have said about Hon. Gary E. Bair

Civil Litigation - Private

I appeared before Judge Bair today for the first time. I have been involved in a lengthy divorce. I am now in a severe parental alienation case. Judge Bair was not there to decide on custody but to decide on a restraining order. Though I recieved the restraining order, I still felt Judge Bair had to do his job. Judge Bair is a good decent man. He allowed me to speak and tell my story. He was kind and compassionate towards me. His
demeanor helped put me at ease. I was scared and distraught over not seeing my daughters for over 4 years. He understood the pain I was going through and showed great empathy. I recieved the
restraining order for contacting my ex husbands employment hoping someone could help me. Judge Bair knew that I was not out to hurt anyone and was traumatized from not seeing my
daughters. He was a very kind man.

One can always be thankful to have this Judge to appear before. He is courteous and smart and treats everyone with a sense of professionalism. All that one asks if a Judge who acts in the manner that he does and is smart. You know that you will get a fair hearing before him.

He is a fantastic judge. He has an outstanding disposition -- kind, humble, and patient -- combined with an obvious desire to reach a fair, correct result. He has an impressive resume -- including arguing before the U.S. Supreme Court -- and is easily always the smartest one in the courtroom, although you would never guess that he knows it. He is respectful of counsel and their knowledge of the issues, and doesn't pretend to be an expert on everything. He is a true asset to the bench.
