`Judge JORDAN did this to me. #iamcatherine in 2015

And the robing room covers up for these judges by deleting these ratings. I wonder if judges pay to have bad ratings removed? There needs to be an investigation because we all know that absolute power corrupts.

Hon. Richard E. Jordan
Absolutely a terrible judge. Judge Jordon did not look over any of the evidence that my lawyer and I provided to show proof of the lies and manipulation from the other party. He gave the other party more "fun time" with the children and made me the bad person. He is a horrible judge for working mothers. He is all for the loser fathers walking into court and lying on while on the stand. Judge Jordan played with my children's lives which has now affected them in such a bad way. I honestly can not believe this man is a judge. Thank you Judge Jordan for ruining my children's lives.

What is the point of these ratings?! I am only submitting now after receiving an email alert that a "new" item was posted for this pathetic judge. I looked up the posting and could immediately tell it was "planted". A "10" rating without ANY details?! I then looked for past postings. I can no longer find mine (it was either a "1" or zero!). I also no longer see other NEGATIVE reviews that I am positive existed! [Editor's Note: Some postings are removed as inappropriate or the poster left an invalid email address] In fact one such author contacted me to discuss the biased comments Jordan made in court! How is it that these such LOW ratings/negative feedback no longer are oosted?! [Redacted by Editor]. He threw out findings from CPS which I was given several minutes to review. CPS reported exactly what I reported and filed for a PO and Jordan instead gave his own unqualified misinterpretation of events that led to 2 of my children's injuries! Who is he to "decide" what occurred? What motivations?! He created his "own story" and vilified me in Court! He had ZERO concern for the children! It may be worth noting that another judge felt otherwise at a later hearing and issued a PO! Shame on this judge! And shame on all of you who are posting in this Robing Room unethically (I have been told of the practice of clerks posting positive rankings on behalf of their bosses/judges!!)

I just had a custody trial with Judge Rubin, and as a mother fighting for her child Judge Rubin is by far the best i have seen. He was very focused on the best interests of my child which is too small to testify in court. He is very knowledgeable and knows the law like the back of his hand.
I found him to be very thorough and provides good results. Thank you Judge Rubin and God bless you

Excellent Judge. Smart, great temperament and balanced. I've been in his courtroom a number of times over the years and have never seen him lose his patience or seem disinterested. Definitely one of the best judges in the state when you put together the traits of a good judge. FYI, he puts a lot of emphasis on conduct and respect in the courtroom (i.e. doesn't put up with personal criticism of opposing counsel, interrupting others, etc.).

It is always a pleasure to be before this Judge. He "gets" it. Irrespective of the outcome, you and your client get a chance to try your case and there is always a professional atmosphere but he is not "afraid" to put his opinion on the table. And, he has a sense of humor.

Just read comment MD 4032 below. It mirrors my experience exactly. I guess there are just mediocre judges, but his set of faults are still troubling.

Did not appear to have reviewed all of the exhibits in a complicated family matter. Made up his mind early on as to certain issues before all of the evidence was presented and did not allow the evidence to dissuade him. Seemed to focus on minor issues and miss the big picture, and was not bothered at all by outright fraudulent behavior and outright lies by one party.

Best in Montgomery County? He doesn't even understand the Crawford case. Let's make these ratings realistic!

A terrific judge; very involved and listening and even-tempered. Thoughtful, not willing to simply judge the case the way the more funded opponent wants it to be judged. Looks at the facts, the inferences, the motives of the parties. If you are the more aggrieved party may you be blessed with this judge.

In response to the posting of 8/15, I am the attorney on the other side of that case. First, Judge Jordan is one of the best trial judges we have on the bench. Secondly, the representations made by the poster are simply false. He did not appear in front of Judge Jordan. He had a file presented to this judge for a ruling on an ex parte and wildly frivolous motion to shorten time. Having practiced in this jurisdiction before all of the judges for more than three decades, I can safely say there is not a single judge who would have granted the relief sought by this lawyer. Thirdly, the poster did not have a client. He is a pro se defendant on a civil claim. Lastly, on ex parte matters presented to a duty judge, there is rarely if ever any explanation given by the judge to the party inasmuch as the matter is not presented in open court, on the record. Rather, the written motion is presented and ruled on in chambers. That is to say, there simply is no contact in motions of the type filed between the attorney and the judge. This poster chose to file an absurd motion seeking absurd relief. That he is unhappy with the result and would prevaricate about the details reflects on the poster, not on this able and well-respected jurist. Any party and his or her counsel would be ably served appearing anytime in front of Judge Jordan. He was an impeccable trial attorney who brought that same skill set to the bench with him. The only other posting on this site accurately describes Judge Jordan's abilities. Alas, the same simply cannot be said of the defendant/lawyer who posted the unfounded comments.

Appeared before Judge Jordan for the first time last week on motions. He was thoughtful, prepared, and willing to listen to counsel but in control of his courtroom.
