I usually do not engage in opinion surveys but I've been dealing with the worst times of my life after encountering Judgr Tirabassi. My probation officer violated my probation from a DUI I had in 2017 because I moved to another part of Baltimore without notifying her. She also said THC was in my system, Judge Tirabbasi yelled at me and said I was smoking dope; I explained that it was marijuana and not dope. He became enraged, he sentenced me to 30 days confinement and would not allow me to go back to work in other to activate my leave of absence before turning myself in. I want to to use this platform to thank Judge Tirabbassi for ruining my career as a banker, I have an autistic son that depends on me which I told the judge, I also have a daughter and now we have no insurance because my job let me go due to incarceration. I have lost faith in the American Justice system, I strongly believe that Judge Tirabbassi is a racist, narcissist and lacks any form of compassion. A man that will send another man to jail on April 1st for a non violent crime can never be a real man, may God reward you for everything sir!

I once worked for a collections firm. In one case before him there was an affidavit for attorneys' fees from iour side (which was created by someone else in the firm, while I was just sent for the hearing) which he took some issue over. He basically yelled and lectured me for about 5-6 minutes for what reason I could not tell you, then rules in our favor and says of the attorneys' fees "I'm going to find them fair and reasonable," with some emphasis.
His pattern generally from what I've seen is to display the worst possible temperament almost to the point you think he's melting down, then somehow end up in the right place. Baffling. If he hates being a judge so much maybe he shouldn't be one.

A mother and son sought a protective order against the father. Father had a lawyer, mother did not. Tirabassi did his level best to absolutely terrify the mother into a consent order not to her satisfaction with no statement of facts. Somehow, she had the fortitude to go ahead with the hearing anyway. Tirabassi then screams "swear everybody in!" as if the mother had just gambled with her life!
Yet, after prolonged emotional testimony by the son, the Hon. Judge Tirabassi (now behaving as a judge not a raving lunatic) somehow reached the entirely correct result. But only because someone was able to withstand his bullying.

If he is going to sit and make decisions on Petitions of Protective Orders he should really take a sensitivity training. Very cold and ignorant! He is proud to say he has been doing this for over 30 years- think it’s time to retire! He has some anger issues or somethinf he needs to figure out. I would hate to be a victim in front of him!

I do not understand how a person without the commitment to understand the law in our country can play the part of a judge. He has no understanding of the Constitution from where we get our right. All people, even the defendant's rights should be protected. He cares not a whit as to rights. He denied me mine. He should be impeached

I have litigated numerous cases in front of Judge Tirabassi and I have always found him to be a spirited, well-informed, and even handed judge. His honor frequently resorted to case law of his own, and was willing to review that which I provided in making his rulings. He is always in good spirits on the bench and adds a little humor where appropriate, which is important in this day and age where so many district court judges seem bored and disinterested. He genuinely cares about the fairest outcomes for the parties in his cases and, in my opinion, is one of the best judges on the Baltimore County district court bench.

I appeared in front of Judge Tirabossi as a defendant and considering that I had completed the required drug and alcohol counseling he allowed me to have non supervised probation and no inter-lock.

You won't find a more "good for the goose, good for the gander judge." Very intelligent, has the years of civil and criminal experience and not a state employee with a robe. Calls it as he sees it, Don't feed him a load of crap and your client will thank you. Sometimes he is hard to read but always very fair and practical. Praying a jury trial should not be an option. A fine jurist.

He is next to a criminal if not a criminal. I had a case of harassment against me. It was supposed to be a charge that I put up NO TRESPASSING signs which is not only legal but the police themselves advised me to do this. The day after the signs were up my neighbor went after me. Within a few days he had charged me with harassment of going after him and his entire family which was a lie plus action on the signs which he considered harassment. On trial day he brought two neighbors who all committed perjury against me. The judge not only believed them and not me he was vicious. I told him I had a video of my neighbor and he did not allow me to present the video in court. He badgered me claiming that my neighbor was only mowing the lawn which was untrue. It was a nightmare. He claimed that I had been harassing my neighbor not just for a month but for years. The only reason he did not convict me was because my neighbor brought up one incident which legally is not harassment.

Judge Tirabassi seemed very disturbed entering the court room. He veiwed my client as beneath other defendants because of the case she was being charged with. Overall he had a very biased opinion from just reading the case notes judge tirabassi did not care to hear anything from my client in regards to what she was doing for her treatment and recovery. I also took it as a personal insult when he sentenced my client and I quote "you will go to jail when I see you again"

One of the few judges nowadays who has actual experience in private litigation practice. Has a VERY dry sense of humor so sometimes you're not sure if he's joking (he probably is). I always enjoy being in front of him. His years of experience in actual practice of law give him knowledge of civil litigation and he knows the juggling act that lawyers have to do every day.
