Civil Litigation - Private

Agree with the split personality comments. He comes to the bench with a decision made and it usually favors whichever side he thinks is the underdog. Has odd courtroom rules. Can be nasty and condescending to counsel when he thinks he's being challenged, and since he's often wrong on basic legal principles he's often challenged. I avoid appearances before him whenever possible.

He has been outright nasty and condesending to me (an attorney) and rude and short with the public. He frequently raises his voice inappropriately, belittles attorneys, and is intimidating. By far, one of the worse dispositions in a judge I have ever encountered. I agree with one of the earlier post which said he makes up his mind prematurely and gets visably annoyed if you attempt to set forth a contradictory theory of the case.

Judge Green makes up his mind early and refuses to hear evidence to the contrary. He has a very low flashpoint.

Comment #: MD6244
VERY fair. Judge Green listens to both sides of each case and judges fairly and impartially. I can not imagine him behaving unfairly unless faced with a disrespectful defendant

Civil Litigation - Govt.

Comment #: MD6228
The judge acted hostile toward my client throughout the hearing. He appeared not to understand the law on competency to stand trial.

Has a very good understanding of the rules of evidence, is not intimidated by blustering advocates and has the right temperament. Works with counsel for scheduling and is intellectually curious.

Comment #: MD4541
Brian Green is a very kind and understanding person. But, he is fair and weighs the evidence. I can't imagine him being nasty as a previous person stated. I've known him 17-18 years and I've never seen him display an unprofessional attitude.

Nasty at times, polite at times. This guy has a split personality problem. Smart with criminal matters. Not very bright with civil matters.
