Judge Levitz is by far the most arrogant judge I have ever been before in 29 years of criminal practice - both in capital and non-capital caes. He is competent, but he completely overestimates his ability. My practice has been primarily in the federal courts in Maryland. Judge Levitz's ability pales in comparison to his colleagues on the federal bench and most of his colleagues on the Maryland Courts of Appeal.
He is without a doubt a competent judge, but he needs to put his competence in perspective and recognize that there are attorneys that come before him who might have as much or more experince as he does.

Been a judge since most lawyers were kids. Very tough but a fair sentencer. Has little patience for weak arguments but will hear them. Very diligent and is worthy of the respect given to judges.

Very fair. Althouh he sees through half-baked arguments, he hears each side. A very efficient judge and very hardworking as well. Great management of his courtroom and great sense of humor. The model of what a trial judge is supposed to be.

Kind of slow but sees through a bad argument and gets to the meat of the case. He tries to be very fair to every litigant.
