he is a loose cannon, does not go by the law, you never know what mood he is in. He is old and senile. He has been reprimanded numerous times for his conduct in cases and rulings, but is still allowed to remain on the bench deciding peoples lives and childrens lives. He does not consider evidence, denies motions without a hearing, uses tries to get people to settle by using fear and intimidation. He uses his personal feelings to make decisions. He is a disgrace to the family court system.

I must be fair to Judge Nalley, which is why I gave him high marks. However, despite his high rating, he has many flaws that should greatly discount the numeric rating.

For instance, he has great jurisprudence (as should be expected considering the length of time that he has been on the bench), but he chooses to ignore the law and its appropirate application when it suits his whim. He is not a judge that is ignorant of the law, but he picks and chooses when to apply the law. In sum, if he doesn't like your client and he is aware that he is afforded discretion, he will follow his whim, evidence and contrary facts be damned.

Rating:6.5
Comments:
Very learned jurist, but has a tendency to "soap box." Several times seemed bored and not particularly interested in the proceedings. Has a bit of a temper. Very good in family law matters, especially adoption and guardianship proceedings.

Comments:
Decides motions without hearing and without written opinion. Very motivated by case time management standards.
