Judge O'Shea is the type of judge we need to see more in the District Court. I haven't tried any cases in front of him so I have abstained from rating him in those categories. One of the better judges around.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: MA286
Rating:9.6
Comments:
Judge O'Shea is perhaps the best Judge currently working in Bristol County. He will listen to your argument which is more than many other Judges in the area. He respects the Defense bar, Probation and The District Attorney's office. I would say he leans slightly in favor of the prosecution especially in regards to bails and unagreed to tenders. That being said, many a defendant has been given 2nd and 3rd chances by this Judge. His patience is admirable. His intellect and ability to explain legal issues is on par with any law professor. He has on occasion made what I think have been mistakes, but usually he is on the money. He works mostly the 1st session and is seldom in the trial session.
