Extremely fair, listens and understands very well. Allows all evidence and would never manipulate the outcome of a trial. A special person or a breath of fresh air in a smoke filled slaughter house called the court system. We need more like her. As a victim of abuse by the courts and having been before 20 + judges she is by far the best.

I can't say enough great things about this Judge. I've known her from her days with the Committee. She was an excellent defense attorney and she's an excellent Judge. There is something very noble about the manner in which she presides over cases. Hope she doesn't retire anytime soon.

A completely pragmatic and fair judge who does not stand on formalities or technicalities. She is respectful of everyone. Unlike many other judges, she does not eyeroll or express exasperation at arguments counsel make. I think her respect for parties leads to better outcomes. Focused, as judges should be, on rendering justice.

Deeply impressed by Judge Shopteese's investment and dedication to her caseload, and to the parties involved. Judge Shopteese did not let important matters get rushed, even if it meant extra explanation to a pro se litigant. Count yourself lucky to appear before Judge Shopteese.

Judge Shoptease. Was very professional, was very concerned about the facts of the case and took extra time to confirm the facts were true and warranted what I was requesting. Clearly she is not influenced by "others" in the system and rules on facts, not who you are. (Or who you think you are and what you think you are entitled to get away with). I believe she is new, I just hope she stays the way she is and doesn't get caught up in the "politics" because there needs to be more judges like her out there, ones who so not care who you are and will rule on the truth/facts.
