This appearance was my second in court; the first was in 1976 to change my name (very routine, quick, etc.). I had to wait my turn and saw how that judge and the court worked. My experience in 2011 with Judge Dyanne Klein went far below what I would expect in a judge. When I went a year later to verify that the HPO did not continue that judge was similar to what I would expect. I think Klein had retired by then.

She no longer is a judge (great). I came before her because my accuser and his lawyer lied under oath about an alleged assault I made. I called the police because he assaulted me. She would not accept that my arthritic condition precluded any reason why I would want to risk my body nor did she want to see the scars from several operations I have had. It got even worse. Thank heavens she no longer is in this type of position!

I was a defendant in a harassment prevention order. The plaintiff's attorney was his friend and an attorney whom the judge "trusted" as an officer of the court. I defended myself because the police had conflicting versions of the alleged assault. Judge Klein would not listen to my logic. She concerned herself only with what allegedly happened that evening in a crowded bar. The plaintiff did not bring his son (who was there) or his wife (who was at his house when I tried to contact him). This judge was matronizing towards me (a male), a shallow thinker, and arrogant.

Comments:
Disagreeable, curt and petulant. Also, incredibly dishonest. Spent entire hearing frowning at lying police officers and then denied the motion by accepting everything the officers testified to -- even the part about some how seeing through a wall.

she made her mind up before the case; she wouldn't view my evidence; only wanted to know that day rather than what the plaintiff had done to me over the past several years of slander and libel.

Worst Judge in Mass. I went before for a HO case. Sham court for sure !!
Very bad behavior for a Judge of level.
Her mind is made up within minutes of a case. She appears very disruptive to attorneys cuts them off within minutes of a defense. Only way to beat her is to APPEAL !!

I appeared before Judge Klein in a 258e ruling. I had no access to the first hearing's notes where the plaintiff's attorney acted as a witness. Judge Klein did not want to hear any of the preceding slander and libel that the defendant showered on me over several years. She accepted on blind faith the police report that only mentioned conflicting versions. She only wanted to hear what happened on a specific day.
It was a sham trial, IMHO.
