Why when I found out Harford County District Court was closed to the public and I called your office to find out why, i was given 3 different excuses, none of which are plausible. I called 4 other district courts around the state and ALL are open to the public.

In a world where police officers do not always offer the truth on reports and it has been proved that many people have been falsely prosecuted and or incarcerated, it is good to know that there is a judge out there that is not biased. Please do not loose that mindset your honor. Things are not always what they seem, especially when it comes to police officers getting pressured to get as many arrests and tickets that they can to keep their jobs. I appreciate police and all that they do, but it has been proven many times that sometimes they do not make the best decisions when dealing with the public. I thank you for the ban that you initiated. Please keep up the great work that you do!

Judge Morrissey, hope you see this. Concerning your Thin Blue Line Ban.Judges need to remain unbiased- Not other court employees. The police need all the support the can get right now. It is due to the little peons like Paul Dewolfe stirring the crap pot AND then people in position like yourself that allow this cancel culture crap to continue! As a Judge you should know better! Shame on you!

Co-Chair for Major Projects Committee for e-filing system.

Maryland Electronic Courts is the worst webapp I have ever used.

People should lose their jobs over this.

I spoke to Chief Judge Morrissey in his capacity not as a District Court Judge but as the Chief Judge of the Maryland District Court. I was discussing a letter I wrote regarding proposed changes to district court procedures which unlike most court procedures have to be set in Maryland Rules Chief Judge Morrissey has the power to decree by fiat pursuant to statute. Chief Judge Morrissey took my call and was very much cordial. My problem is that he did not have an answer as to why my suggestion should not be implemented, so he speculated based on the little more than me that he did know, hoped what he told me was correct, and if it wasn't at least it got me off his back. I did not appreciate that. Chief Judge Morrissey if you're reading this, please take well thought, well written letters from pro-se litigants appearing in the district court suggesting procedural changes seriously.

Prince George's County's loss, District Court's gain. Nice guy, even tempered, treats everyone with respect. Rules on the merits before him and does not show bias to either plaintiffs or defendants. Need I say more?

A rarity on this bench, Judge Morrissey is extremely charming, hardworking, intelligent, and even-handed. He knows the law, and figures it out if he doesn't. His judgments are well thought out and his awards are always fair. The best District Court judge in the county, if not the entire state.

PG County has too many terrible judges. Thank goodness Judge Morrissey breaks that trend. It is nice to praise a good judge now and then. If only we could clone him!

I have been before him a dozen or so times and each time the ruling he gave was spot on. He's one of the very best in Prince George's County.

I normally shy from this site, because I usually have nothing nice to say, but I will make an exception for Judge Morrissey. He has an even temperment, is a pleasure to work with, and you do not feel awful when you lose because he has the ability to articulate why he ruled. He should be on the Circuit Court bench, but I would not hold my breath on that score because of his race in PG County (more's the pity).

Had criminal trial. Judge was very patient in listening to testimony. Gave well reasoned opinion. Was very courteous to all participants. I am not from PG County but he called my case ahead of two other trials that were older cases being handled by the public defenders office.
