I've had judge Cavanaugh a few years ago and I think she was one of the best judges to go in front of. She was very fair and reasonable and understanding. If you are remorseful and willing to take responsibility for your part, she definitely acknowledges that and will consider that before making her decision. She is also a very nice and beautiful woman

I saw many negative comments about Judge Cavanaugh and I just had a jury trial in front of her. I am a Plaintiff's attorney and I LOST. However, I found Judge Cavanaugh to have a nice warm courtroom demeanor and if you are respectful of her and the process, she was absolutely fine (and fair) as a trial judge and would have no worries appearing before her.

Colleen Cavanaugh does NOT belong on ANY bench. Her blatant bias in cases is none other than unprofessional. She is one of the most ridiculous people I have ever seen rule over a case. Her mind is made up well before she enters that court room. She is definitely showing the fact that she only inherited her place on the bench from her father. Facts! Her intellectual ability is comparable to my dog.

Judge Cavanaugh should not be on the bench. Her intellectual ability is at the bottom. She entered a judgement against me when I was the attorney for the Plaintiff because she ruled in favor of the defendant. I was never a party and was never served. Her view of the case was highly biased and her behavior towards counsel who acted in good faith was appalling. she did not understand the claims at all.

Well seeing that someone removed the review about Cavanaugh, I will repost my review from a 2018 matter. This judge has a horrific reputation, she “inherited” this job from her father and it shows in her lack of basic law applications. This judge let a party lawsuit goto the jury over reducing an at will employees pay, essentially re-writing Maryland law and deciding to apply the law as she saw fit to the outcome she desired. She either is incompletely incompetent or prejudicial was I was a night public figure, either way this woman doesn’t belong on the bench in any court. She is highly unintelligent, completely incompetent with law 101, and is blatantly biased. Whatever qualifies her father had obviously didnt wear off on her. Let’s see if this review gets removed Colleen

She sat at the trial literally rolling her eyes when being told what the defendant had done. She seemed to have made up her mind about the case and was evident that she did not seem to even listen to what she was being told. Very unprofessional!

Loose cannon...lacks impartiality...makes up her mind and then works backwards in making verdicts and decisions. Doesn't need to be wearing a robe. Surely we can find better to fill spots on the MD bench.
