I want to point out how these reviews as well as the media covers up for the terrible family court judges of Montgomery County Maryland. Case and point Judge Quirk has been serving well over twenty years and there is only eight reviews half of which are raving reviews. These reviews are hardly the reality of the shattered lives these terrible judges have destroyed with little to no accountability. Judge Quirk is a terrible Judgr he is on the payroll of certain law firms and rules in their favor in return. He does not follow the law. He has been a complete disaster and destruction to many lives that the media and the roving room have covered up. The book exposing it all is coming out soon they will not suppress the truth to the money making family destroying racket anymore.

I have since moved out of state but I thank God for Judge Quirk who was fair and applied the law to each and every allegation. We need more Judges of this caliber on the bench.

Judge Quirk applied the wrong burden of proof. Enough said.

Comments:
Given the complexity of our 17 year old domestic case, Judge Quirk takes the time to listen, review and then issue opinions based on facts, not idiotic arguments made by opposing counsel. He is extraordinarily thorough and compassionate and extremely fair.

Following several alterations in dockets, Judge Quirk was unexpectedly assigned to our PL hearing. We witnessed his wisdom and discernment –- probing through fallacies to focus on the truths which he 'filtered out' during the testimonies of both parties, as well as from information provided and presented by both representative counsel. We were grateful, not only that he allowed 'overtime,' but that he presided with ‘righteous justice,' not being 'moved' by the opposing side's attempt at discrediting and defaming us through exaggerated information and false allegations. This experience was a positive and enlightening reminder that we do have 'honorable' judges not only making 'fair' decisions but, more importantly, discerning truth from untruth. If the custody/divorce trial remains on the docket, we anticipate that the next judge will preside and rule with the integrity and high standards that Judge Quirk has upheld as an example.

He has been top notch in a Track 4 case in all aspects. I am sure my opposing counsel would agree that we both enjoyed being before Judge Quirk. One interesting tit bit, he makes the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag before starting court. Never saw that before.

Holds counsel to a high standard. Expects punctuality and that counsel are prepared. My experience is only in family. Enjoyed appearing before him.

Comments:
Judge Quirk has a somber demeanor that appears intended to intimidate litigants and lawyers. His comments from the bench are short and firm. He does not want to be challenged. Another instance in which a judge thinks his robe elevates him above all others.

Comments:
Not a good judicial demeanor. His ego gets in the way of listening to counsel and in the way of handling matters appropriately. Appears to be prejudiced against attorneys he had cases with that he did not like in private practice. Personal feelings re counsel or a particalar gender have no place in a courtroom.
