one of the worst draws in the entire State of Md to get for a civil case.

All decisions made by this judge are based on her own traumatic experiences. It should come as no surprise anytime probation is abused, plaintiffs aren't awarded, etc. Time for her to go. Does she still wear those ridiculous red high heels? There's no place like home! Maybe she should stay there.

This judge has been on the bench for quite some time, but still does not have any idea of what the concept of negligence means. Almost seems as if she looks for reasons not to award an injured plaintiff damages.

not very knowledgeable in civil matters, although believes that she is. was a career prosecutor and then an ALJ. not very good temperament either. can overreact to small events.

Very very out of touch Judge and misuse of power on folks involved with traffic violations, specifically a DUI. It does not matter if this is your first offense or not.
Too often the consequences/conditions imposed under a PBJ veer from preventing future offenses. She is harsh and seems to be punishing the driver who hit her back in the 80s.

Judge Gordon tried to ruin my life with probation over a Traffic Violation (not alcohol related). She gave me 60 days in jail, suspended, with 3 years of probation to include drug testing. My problems began to compound, and Baltimore was ruining my life, and I needed to move home (west coast). There was a restriction to move on my probation, and she denied me, I therefore moved anyway. This generated a warrant for my arrest. The warrant said I was armed and dangerous, prohibited from driving an RV, etc. I turned myself in when I got across the country and was not extradited. I now have a warrant in Baltimore City only. I now have a high paying job in the tech industry, where if I would have stayed in Baltimore, I'd be dead or in jail. I believe there should be an investigation into the rationality of Judge Gordons rulings throughout her tenure on the bench.

I am beyond disappointed at the way my case was handled today, as Judge Joan Bossman Gordon was short with me and favored the other party. She would not allow me to provide the majority of my evidence, which included prior criminal records, police reports, as well as texts and emails from the defendant. This was critical information that showed the aggressive nature, as well as history of our relationship, yet not was allowed to be admitted. In addition after cutting me off several times, she allowed the defendant to continue to speak out of context, and go on unrelated rants for several minutes without interruption. It was very odd to me and she seemed to not care the inappropriate behavior of the defendant while in the courtroom.

I have appeared before Judge Gordon beginning when she was an Admin. Judge. Never had a problem with her demeanor. Always courteous and fair. Treats everyone with respect. She is one Judge in the distict court that will bind herself to a plea instead of my constantly praying jury trials to get away from the vast majority who don't bind. They are the arrogant, obnoxious ones.

I have observed this judge for years. She is now getting the attention she has deserved all along. This judge's behavior borders on the bizarre, but people are so afraid of her -- she will threaten people at the drop of a hat -- none of us were brave enough to speak out. I am even scared writing this, but I have observed judges as a bailiff for many years, and Judge Gordon is one of the least effective and strangest people I have ever seen on the bench. She is a terror and is widely disliked around the courthouse. Hopefully, the public will learn even more about her in the coming months and she will be removed from office or retire fairly soon.

Too lazy to perform as a duty judge for weekend warrants less than once a year ? An embarrassment to the bench and our city with her personal prejudices and insane probation practices....

A cruel, horrible, biased person with no sense of proportion or reality. She needs to be investigated based on the New York Times article that ran this morning.

I have appeared before Judge Bossman Gordon twice in the last year and was impressed with her demeanor and sense of fairness. She worked with the prosecutor and me in reaching a fair outcome for my client who had a complex immigration issue. She was attentive and fair. I think she is one of the hardest working and fairest Judges in Baltimore City. We are lucky to have her.

Overall, this judge is an embarrassment to our justice system. She has no compassion and zero understanding of the lives that the defendants before her cope with day in and day out. She is cold and uninterested in justice and frequently reveals her personal biases (especially in DUI cases). She has destroyed so many lives

She is viciously punitive and abuses her power. She needs to be put on probation herself to see what it's like to suffer the effects of tyrannical, unstable sentencing.

She doesn't follow the law and is capricious and arbitary; often, she is nasty and insulting. This person does not have a judicial temperament and needs to be taken off the bench.

I find the previous comments inexplicable. From my observations, Judge Gordon is exemplary - fair and just. I suspect the previous commenters have a personal axe to grind.
