She is rude dishonest, inconsistent and doesn't care about the evidence. Judge Judy is at least fair. She's more of a Judge Booty, because her style is some butt.

My friend, who understands/speaks very little English, was ticketed while working as a delivery driver. He asked me to come to court with him to help plead his case. One ticket was for failing to signal while making a right turn and the other ticket was for having an inoperative right turn light. Does that even make sense? Why would he get a ticket for both? Despite this, I wanted to explain to the judge that this is a commercial vehicle and there was proof it was inspected just 2 months prior. The inspection included all lights on that truck. He also had checked it that morning and it was working fine. During his route the signal stopped working without his knowledge. Anyway, I would have shown the judge this information and let her decide on how to rule. We never even got that far because when she called his name, and I went up with him, she scolded me and told me I was not a lawyer, and to sit down. She said I could be fined for practicing law without a license. I tried to explain that he needed my help translating his case in English, but she said that if he can't speak English he can use their translator. I was scared to say anything else after that because she looked like she wanted to have me arrested. I am not trying to insult my friend, but even with a translator he had no idea what to tell her. I was the one that had all of the information laid out. He pleaded guilty with an explanation, but there was no explanation because he doesn't even know what that means in Spanish or English. Anyway, in my opinion, she doesn't see how each person in that courtroom is different from the next. We are all just part of her daily grind. I don't think she is a bad person, but if she really cared about justice each person would have the opportunity to plead their case without having a law degree or having her knowledge of courtroom procedure. If I wasn't there my friend would not have even know what to do at all. He would not have known where to park, where the courtroom was, what the bailiff was saying prior to the judge's entrance, because everything was in English.

You would be happy if she kept awake! Lazy and has no sense of Judicial discretion. An attorney who see was gushing over told her the case was filed 1.5 years after it was actually filed and claimed the action was barred by limitations. The Plaintiff argued it was not. Ms. Lewis did not bother to search the docket and held the case time barred! She is that lazy!

This is one awful judge. She doesn't hear the cases out and she is very disrespectful as she addresses the litigants. She mainly sends minorities to Domestic Violence class and doesn't even get both sides to the story. She needs to be removed from the bench. Courts do not need Judges like this to make family problems worst and she acts as if SHE NEEDS ANGER MANAGEMENT HERSELF. She is very abusive to anyone who comes to her and she calls the parents names in court.

Even handed but brash and direct! Gets to the point but doesn't always invite people along for the ride. Knows her stuff but could be more humane. One of the better judges in PG County but most of them forgot that they work for the citizens of the county!

This judge is rude, abusive,and domineering. A legend in her own mind. Rules on the basis of evidence that is not presented but that she believes she knows. Is clueless on the law and is unwilling to be educated. Tries to intimidate and interrupts witnesses and attorneys and will not let them answer questions, finish statements, make the record or make arguments.

I agree with other posters that she can be very brash, especially with attorneys who are unfamiliar with her ways. However, she is without a doubt one of the brightest and most even-handed judges in the county. She will always give a fair and rational decision -- which, unfortunately, is becoming a rarity among other P.G. County judges. She moves trials along quickly, and can come across as impatient when she does so. However, she does move the docket along better than any other judge. She is easily one of the best, in a county filled with inexperienced, unpredictable and unqualified judges.

She is the smartest person that she has ever met. She is rude, condescending and arrogant. She enjoys putting on a show that nobody cares to see. She should seriously consider another career. Although, in her defense, she is not even close to being the dumbest judge on the PG bench.

She's bright but her foul temper undoes any respect you might have for this judge. Rude, indignant, and just plain nasty to everyone!! Let's brush our hair at least when presenting to the public. She should retire now. And her best bud Sherrie Krauder - also a foul tempered being.
