Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: MD7031
Rating:4.1
Comments:
Weak on the law and trial practice in general. Likes to remind everyone he's the judge whether it's necessary or not. Like another lawyer said here, typical ALJ appointment.

Other

Comment #: MD7013
Rating:1.0
Comments:
He starts the proceedings by stating if you plead guilty he will only give you PBJ, but if you decide to exercise your right to plead NOT GUILTY, he will always side with the Officer and will increase your penalty up to $500. The Defendant should always plead guilty even if you believe you are innocent. How is this Judge allowed to take away a person's right to a fair trail?

Civil Litigation - Private

Comments:
He makes up his own facts and conclusions - imaginary in his opinions. I have to get the CD of the proceedings transcripted privately (they don't do it in small claims matters) to show the complete divergence from what went on in Court and his Order!

Rating:8.2
Comments:
Conducted trial in a fair manner. Might be slow in his review of evidence but did a good job in his analysis and was professional in his demeanor.

Comments:
He is a fair and thoughtful judge! I have seen him in court several times and as long as you take responsibility for your actions he will try to work something out for you. Best judge I've seen in Howard County.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: MD5768
Rating:2.8
Comments:
Typical ALJ appointment. Horrible on the law, does not understand burden of proof and cannot allow for anyone else to propose a reasonable sentence. He MUST put his touch on it so as to remind everyone he is the judge. Typically his demeanor is mild mannered while he is botching your case but indignant when you point out his errors and lack of memory. Complete disappointment.
