Judge Robinson was presented a criminal case unlike no other. It was riddled with he said, she said back-and-forth boondoggle on both sides, but it became clear the defendant in the case was not at fault for the crime they were charged. Judge Robinson paid attention, took plenty of notes and gave a good, but not great, disposition. Defendant was found Not Guilty, as they should have been, however she missed a few details in her final disposition. Regardless, she was a fair and gave both sides their due.

This judge sticks to the law. She does not allow either party so sway her or bias her. That's what both parties need from all judges.

She had made her decision prior to the hearing. Both parties were asking to reschedule because and she refused, she did not hear out the defendant and gave her a sentence that was just a simple misunderstanding.

If you are seeking a judge ready to prejudge your client, and agree with the State, she is your judge! If, on the other hand, you hope to present the accused's side of the story, run don't walk to the nearest exit.

1/10. Judge Robinson made her decision months prior to sentencing before even being presented with the evidence. The defendant never stood a chance and was given the maximum sentence for a non violent first time offense. She didn’t seem to want to listen to or consider the argument for the defendant, and was very presumptuous in her explanation. They were held in the detention center awaiting trial for two months as the court date kept getting pushed back. Every motion to move it to a sooner date was denied and the Writ of Habeus Corpus was ignored. The defendant had no chance to appeal during those two months. Following sentencing, Judge Robinson made a note in the documentation for a no stay sentence, which will have a negative influence on any potential future appeals. Additionally, in her argument, she discusses a charge against the defendant for which they have not yet been to court for or found guilty. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Excellent judge. Very thorough and wonderful to parties and counsel. There was a multi-jurisdictional service of process issue involving a pro se litigant and she summoned the civil clerk handling the situation, ordered him to contact the other jurisdiction's sheriff's department to ascertain why they did not serve in accordance with an alternative service order. When that was unsuccessful, she contacted the original judge who granted the order and he allowed her to issue another. She also made sure the clerk continued to assist the pro-se litigant with the process.

I would argue before Judge Robinson any day of the week. Extremely even-handed, considerate, and thorough. Her attitude and approach are gentle but firm, even with pro se parties. I had a case before her that was transferred away at the last minute and I'll always wish it hadn't been-that case dragged on for an extra two years due to the horrid judge that conducted the trial.

I believe she is as honest and fair as the day is long. She doesn't get top grades only because she should have dismissed a claim pre-trial that the District Court can't handle. It should have been bumped up to the Circuit Court instead. But overall I would take that sort of fixable mistake over some of the ridiculousness that other judges pull.

... everyone is innocent until proven guilty. When Hon Laura Robinson doesn't even allow the defendant to state their case but makes her judgement ahead of time. Very hard to show honor to her. Seeing her send criminals home on house arrest. Then send an assumed violent defendant to prison (without proving guilt). No one story or situation is the same. Heartbreaking... justice system is not justice when she is involved.

Complicit with genocide and forced assimilation
She violated title 18 usc 1091; title 18 usc 241. When asked what the legal definition of black was she claimed she didn’t know and yet she still proceeded to ignore legal documents from the state. She is incompetent and complicit with participating in genocide and crimes against humanity.

Judge Robinson is very intelligent and coming from an experienced attorney- she KNOWS the law (and will listen to legal arguments which we all know what usually happens to at the DC level...). Great for pretrial motions and trial; fair sentencing. I enjoy practicing before her just dont BS her and stay professional and she will do the same!

Judge Robinson is fantastic. She is punctual, professional, tries hard to get midnight officers and private counsel out of court as quickly as possible, and holds all attorneys that appear before her (including prosecutors) to the same high standards she, herself, adhered to when she was a prosecutor and private criminal defense attorney. She knows the law, asks appropriate questions, is great with discovery disputes when the State doesn't timely provide discovery, and understands what beyond a reasonable doubt means. She is also very fair on setting bail. A pleasure to be in front of, but always make sure you are prepared because she will be.

Thinks too highly of herself. Doesn’t listen well at all. Way too presumptuous. Immature.

My case was appealed to her from Judge McKenna overruling on Judge Shaem C.P. Spencer's lack of due process in this case. I found this judge to be more compromising and fair. This was displayed many times but more notedly when the prosecutor, Jim Stevevik showed me and the judge a copy of my DMV record. I didn't feel this had anything to do with failing to show my expired licence, which was updated before the first trial. The judge saw that this jailable offense and the others that the prosecutor brought back into trial was trumped up to fry me on minor traffic infractions. Judge Robinson saw through this and my lack of experience with trial procedures. She found me guilty with minor penalties, but was impressed with my Constitutional defenses. I will be appealing this to Circuit Court, which I am told, I will lose. But losing never stopped me in parking ticket court.
