Glad this judge retired! He is extremely biased. A sorry civil law judge. Quick to overturn a juries decision! And has lost many appeals. Be glad he is NO LONGER ON THE BENCH!

I truly do not see the legal logic you used to overturn the jury in RHANDA P. DORMEUS v. BALTIMORE COUNTY other than your own bias as a former state trooper and white man.

Talk about a judge with opinions. If it's a drug matter he wants to preach how addiction is not a disease and so forth. Know this and you'll get excellent treatment from him in such a case in sentencing. Go the other way and there might be a totally different result.
Not what you call open-minded and far, far too intent on sharing his opinions about various general matters.

Generally he is rude to defense experts. He believes he knows everything and becomes insulting and demeaning to expert witnesses who are the experts in their field.

Not a good judge in terms of knowledge or even-handedness.

I think this judge should stick to criminal cases. He does not seem to know much about civil laws. As I understand, many of his cases in civil matters have been reversed by appellate courts. He gives a good outward impression of a likable person to jurors, lawyers, and litigants alike, but his knowledge in civil laws is shallow and substandard. Avoid this judge at all costs if you have a civil case. Request a different judge if possible.

this obviously short-tempered judge last week held a man in the gallery in contempt of court and sentenced him to 5 mos for his cell phone going off. Office of the Public Defender filed immediate stay with CSA and it was granted, man released. What's wrong with his judge? God, some judges should be kicked off the bench -- Norman is obviously one. Get a conscious Unhonorable Mickey Norman.

As a juror in a case heard in Mickey Normans court, I wanted to commend him for his clear and careful instructions and engagement in the trial.

This judge clearly wanted a well run and fair trial and cared about the quality of what was occurring in the courtroom.

Good work!!! Just don't let them pick me as a juror again, please.

He should not be a civil judge. He doesnt care about the children and bases his case decisions on feelings not law. He is swayed by high profile lawyers and allows ones who cant afford the "in" lawyers to be given a less than fair trial. He is not out for the best interest of children, he should stick with criminals because he has ruined so many lives civilly
