Honorable Judge Rupp,

I commend you on a case that you did the right thing by getting a message I left on the robing room in the past.

I am a whistleblower. My life is in danger for this and I will better explain in a letter.

I am begging you and your staff to gather the case on a man name Micheal Musgrove of Bethesda, a stay at home father who committed suicide bc an unethical lawyer you have knowledge of and helped convict, yet is still practicing law, pretended to serve him a summons for his custody hearing and never knew. He lost his parental rights. He was a very good man accomplished man. You can read his obituary. Please have one of your clerks get his case file and you will see how this lawyer tricked him as she has done to me many times in the past. Innocent people have died. I am risking my life by informing you. I honor you for doing what’s right. You have the opportunity to do the same again. You will see how the law was broken as I did, and I’m not even in the legal profession. People have no respect or integrity anymore. The rude public opinions posted are shameful. I gave you a 10 bc you did the right thing on the last case I reported. Thank you. We need more Lincoln lawyers not ones who lie to make more money. Take good care Honorable Judge Nelson Rupp.

Bad judge. His level of imbecility is beyond words. He failed to disclose that the his brother in law is a partner at the defense firm. Then, he granted summary judgment to a security company whose guards had beaten up the plaintiff two separate times! Got him reversed.

Does not comprehend complex legal issues. Too busy trying to "cut to the chase" rather than address the evidence needed.

I have 1 word to describe his temperment on the bench. EGO..... Dont make him out to be wrong in any way, dont challenge his knowledge or authority, I did and he made me sorry in a big way. Maybe i caught him on a bad day, I want no more parts of Judge Rupp.

Character is standing up for an issue. I am curious to see whether Judge Rupp has the intestinal fortitude to publically take a position on his co-candidate Judge Audrey Creighton.

Judge Rupp publically denounced one candidate for judge criticizing a lack of vetting.

Reporters will ask the question. Refusing comment citing "an ongoing investigation" is political dodge-ball and any reporter worth their salt should not accept that as an answer.

Solid all around judge. Montgomery County is lucky to have him. Tough on repeat offenders when violence is involved, but compassionate to non-violent addicts. Great with civil actions, too. Fair and balnced.

I've won far more than I've lost in front of Judge Rupp, but I can't stand trying cases in front of him.

He is a nasty person who has no business being a judge.

He is rude and disrespectful both to lawyers and to parties. I cringed once when he attacked my opposing counsel (who is a pretty decent guy and a good lawyer) for no real reason.

From what I understand from those who know him well, he is also very lazy, which probably explains why he didn't seem to understand the law very well when we were in front of him last time (but woe unto him who tries to correct Judge Rupp -- the man is NEVER wrong).

I believe he is the worst judge in the County.

Judge Rupp has been a trial judge for twenty years. I have practiced civil and criminal law for thirty-seven years. He is knowledgeable, courteous and fair. He started the Montgomery County Drug Court program many years ago, and has helped hundreds of people (if not more) into a sober clean, lifestyle and away from crime. That is an evening-plus per week as a volunteer. His sentences in cases are like his trials -- fair and balanced. If a family member had a criminal, traffic or civil matter before him, they would be judged fairly and compassionately. Montgomery County is lucky to have him.

He is an excellent judge. He is very fair to both sides, and allows the attorneys to try their cases.

Absolutely no compassion. Very harsh without cause. Nice person off the bench, but 100 % pro state on everything.

Not a good family law judge. He is impatient, but even-handed for the most part in his impatience. He doesn't really want to hear the facts, nor does he understand their relevance to the issues of certain matters. He will listen if you force him to, but that should not be required -- he should know why certain issues are relevant. He does tend to rule promptly at the end of the case, which is a good thing. He showed very little sense of humor, and no empathy or understanding towards the parties in these cases. He should probably stick to business law issues and criminal cases.

I was a pro se defendant in a family law case. Judge Rupp is evidence that dollars buy justice. Despite the plaintiff perjuring herself 3 times on the stand, Judge Rupp took less than 30 minutes to render a decision. He choose to ignore requests for supplemental evidence and disregarded the recommendations of the evaluator hired by the plaintiff.

Seemed disconnected from the case and presented the impression of wanting to move the case to its conclusion as quickly as possible.

Judge Rupp should not be serving in family court, he is anything but familial. I felt that he was thinking of anything but the trial. His judgement was based on credible witnesses. The only witnesses were from the plaintiff.

HORRIBLE- he should not be hearing any family law cases. He doesnt care what issues we have- he has his own personal and ours are trivial compared to his. Keep him in traffic court or real estate law- but get out of family court as he destroys peoples lives.

Reads everything and understands the apposite law. Holds counsel to 30 minutes on motions and does not permit counsel with a weak position to filibuster. Does not shoot from the hip and but is not afraid to rule when pursuaded to a particular position. All around good judge who does not suffer from "Robeitis".
