Defendant failed to answer post-judgment discovery requests, and all good faith efforts were made [ie. letters and phone calls to Defendant regarding overdue/lack of discovery responses].
I made sure that all applicable MD Civil Rules of Procedure were followed to a tee [I've been a litigation paralegal for over 30 years, I know what I'm doing]. Due to Defendant's lack of responsiveness to the discovery requests and all good faith efforts to obtain the discovery responses, I had to file a Motion to Compel. Judge Jackson denied the Motion to Compel, for no good reason other than he felt like it; there was no reason to deny the motion and every reason to grant it. The discovery requests have never been responded to, and the judgment is still outstanding.

Enough is enough. When is someone going to ignore their fear and have the courage to file a Complaint with the Judicial Disabilities Commission and remove this scourge from the Bench.

Once again I had an hour and a half of my life wasted waiting on Judge Jackson. There is simply no excuse for running a courtroom in such a poor fashion. Clearly the judge is not late because he's doing additional research - he rarely even knows what the cases in front of him are about. Today it took all of 5 minutes before his head was in hand, eyes closed, asleep for all anyone could tell. An embarrassment to our profession.

This goofball hates domestic cases. Lazy and incompetent, it's a good idea to agree with opposing counsel to dismiss the claim and refine if it is a domestic case, so he doesn't screw your client for refusing to reach an agreement before trial. He has truly been a nightmare, even in simple cases. Mercifully, I believe he will be retiring soon.

The comments, aside from the ones he and his staff have posted, are true. I had a civil trial with him and he shows up late each day. Counsel made a pretrial motion that he did not rule upon. As trial proceeding, he was sleeping and playing computer games. During the trial he flat our told the jury that he was just putting in time waiting for retirement. When the jury was deliberating, they sent 2 questions for clarification. They had to wait more than 2 hours as he had disappeared over lunch and could not be reached. His staff did not know where he was or how to get in touch with him. When one of the lawyers called him on it, he snapped at the lawyer. Hates lawyers, hates litigants, hates working. Rude, arrogant and lazy. Needs to retire or be removed. Worst Judge I have ever encountered in more than 25 years of practice and an embarrassment to Prince George's County.

arrogant and unprofessional. I was a witness in a civil matter today, Dwight shows up 1.5 hrs late. No apology or explanation, nothing. Then, he repeatedly refused to look at counsel as they addressed him. Very rude...as if he's some kind of king and couldn't bring himself to look at commoners. I'd really like to meet this guy outside of court, would have no hesitation criticizing him to his face.

I cannot believe this person is a judge. He is lazy, rude, and a plain jerk to litigants and attorneys. He was over an hour late to court. Treated DV victims as if they were the assailant. I was embarrassed by his actions for the legal community at-large. He needs to be removed from the bench ASAP.

He was more interested in teaching the parties a lesson (they wouldn't settle out of court) than he was in doing what was in the best interest of the children.
He was always late and does not know how to talk to people, oftentimes yelling. He has the parties coming back to court instead of enforcing what he has already ruled on.
He is a terrible judge.

Judge Jackson did not let my son present any evidence and it appeared that his mind was already made up. He was over an hour late with no apology. He was rude to my son and his lawyer. Because my son wore a suit and tie the judge said he was showboating. Go figure! I was told that the judge is retired but not sure why he's still working. He was sitting in his chair staring at the ceiling as if he was uninterested. Justice was not served and it's tragic that the state allows this man to judge anything.

I have had 2 civil trials in front of Jackson, one several years ago and one just a year or two ago. He was a decent guy when he first came on the bench but has regressed and is now a terrible judge. I made a motion in limine that he basically didn't rule on. He hates lawyers and tells the jury he is just putting in time until he can retire. He is late to court. When the jury was deliberating he disappeared for hours. The Jury advised it had a verdict but we waited for him for 2 hours without explanation, other than that he was out of the courthouse and not reachable. He snapped at one of the lawyers that questioned him.

Judge Jackson does not belong on the bench. I can truthfully say that he is the worst judge I've come across in my years of practice. His contempt for litigants is palpable. He is, in fact, extremely lazy, and I echo earlier statements that if you are a family law litigant, run. He shows absolutely no regard for the wellbeing of children or families. It is unfortunate nothing has been done about him. He would get zeros from me, but a one is the lowest I can go.

Just as a mass majority of other viewers have stated, he doesn't hide the fact that he could care less about the case and/or litigants before him. I pray to God someone stops this person from ruing lives because he doesn't want to take the time to listen and review the cases before him. How can someone get away with such unprofessional behavior for so long?

He doesn't appear to give a d*m about the Maryland Rules in civil/domestic cases, as he has no problem outright ignoring them and instead ruling according to the mood he happens to be in at the time, apparently. If he is this dismissive regarding the Maryland Rules, then he should not be on a bench rendering decisions. And as I read the comments about him on this site, apparently, it's not just me.

I've never experienced Judge Jackson in a domestic case, but from what I have seen as a criminal defense attorney, he's a capable judge who is pleasant to try a case before. I also appreciate the fact that he tries to move the trial along with some expediency. Just my observation.

Attorneys including myself are afraid to file a complaint against a sitting Judge with the Judicial Disability Commission of Maryland. This judge knows that. That's why he continues to abuse litigants, counsel and everyone else that gets in his cross hairs. A true a bully and a disgrace to the bench.

The 10 star ratings are clearly cronies of the "Judge."

He shook his head as if he were actually considering the comments of those who spoke on behalf of the defendant, but you could clearly see he had already made his decision invoking the jurors who found this defendant guilty as if they also determine sentence. If these jurors knew how heavy handed the sentence would be...

It is his unenviable duty to get the punishment right, every time. I'll would just say that after hearing the amount of time he gave this individual he may be a bit delusional if he believes he is just and fair. There are too many complaints related to Judge Jackson, is he above reproach? He and others of his ilk are the problem in the system. Hold him accountable, being impartial does not mean that your are unconscious.

Judge Jackson is a disgrace to the bench. He is rude and downright mean. He is always late to the bench, never getting on before 9:30 a.m. and he insults lawyers left and right. He does not know the law and tries to force settlements down lawyers' throats because he does not feel like presiding over a case. He barely works and is often closing his eyes during trials. He has outbursts at lawyers in front of juries. In non-jury cases, he tells lawyers how he will decide the case and if they dare elect a trial, he does what he said he would regardless of the trial evidence. When he was criticized for taking paternity leave, he accused those of being racist. He has a serious chip on his shoulder and is the polar opposite of impartial.

He shows no professionalism at all!!!He rolls his eyes while others speak, he holds his head like he is bored and gives no regard for the proper judicial process. The citizens of Prince George's County should be outraged as well as embarrased to have this representing our judicial system. WHAT A DISGRACE TO THE ROBE!!!!! Attorney for 20 years- worst judge I've ever appeared before and I've appeared before numerous judges. Lazy, mean-spirted, contemptuous of the process, a disgrace. Family of my client sitting in courtroom saw this and was terrified. Immigrants who were not very sophisticated but saw these traits as clear as day. They were terrified. It was heartbreaking because they believed that the American System of Justice was not the corrupt legal system of their country. After watching this disgrace of a man in the light of the courtroom, I knew they would never feel the same about our system of law again.

Judge Jackson is incompetent. He refuses to follow civil procedure even if it means he will be overruled by an appellate court. Yur best bet before him is to plan for an appeal. This Judge refuses to follow the law. He clearly has relationships that affect his rulings. I also have seen how his relationship with Attorney Issac Marks must be of a deep personal nature because he rules on his behalf regardless of what the law states.

This Judge seems to have an unscrupulous relationship with Attorney Issac Marks. It appears that Judge Jackson Continues to provide Marks with favorable rulings and allows him to work outside of the standards held by the courts. If Issac Marks is your opposing counsel, be assured that the ruling will not be in your favor. Further investigation needs to be done into their improprieties.

I received the Court Order where as he agreed with the Master when no financial documenation was presented to the courts by the defendant ever. And when my Attorney tried to present it to Judge Jackson he wouldn't even look at so I'm not surprised that he agreed with the Master because he apparently didn't make himselp knowledgable about the case that was before him. If I was my sons Dad Lawyer I would have loved to have the case heard before Judge Jackson also. I'm sure he knew what type of decision mader Jackson is. J O K E!!!!!

The laziest judge in the state. Always comes to court late, then demands the atty's be immediately ready to go. Totally unprepared. Handled an appeal from District Court, but had not read Appellant's brief, Appellee's brief, or the District Court trial transcript.
