Awful. Kow-tows to everyone in the courtroom with the goal of garnering the maximum favorable view of himself. Makes a calculation as to what will earn him the least amount of negativity and acts accordingly. The law and evidence is very very secondary in these calculations. Basically a pure politician (in a state that elects its judges) and acts accordingly in a judicial capacity. in other words, do not expect justice in this courtroom.

Does not know the law, largely because he doesn't have a commercial background and does not work hard enough to catch up for his lack of practice experience. And even if controlling law is explained to him he often will not follow it if it dictates a result contrary to what he has already decided. He is also disingenuosly smiling to and glad-handing everyone in a transparent attempt to seem like a "nice guy." This is laid on the most to those who he thinks might have influence with federal appointments. The bottom line is that he is largely a superficial wannabe.
