Judges such as this need to step down, and let others who are more evolved and recognize the true horror that animal abuse really is.

Until Animal Abusers are held accountable for their actions crimes like this will continue to happen. Judges like James Blaney are part of the problem.

I can't believe what you did for Sammy the cocker spaniels abusers. What kind of a message are you sending to other abusers? They just have to have excuses?? and that makes it okay? Why wasn't their other dog abused as well? Your ruling was inexcusable.

This is because of his reversal in the case about Sammy the Cocker Spaniel. What was done to him deserved YEARS in jail, but NJ law in inadequate. So what did Judge Blaney do? He OVERTURNED THEIR JAIL SENTENCE, which was already terribly inadequate!!! He's should be removed from the bench!

I am horrified by your ruling on the appeal of the Morgans. It was heartless and without merit. The original sentence was not even harsh enough but for you to excuse incarceration and financial penalty is abhorrent. What kind of justice system could ever be considered fair with this kind of ruling? This judge should be ashamed of himself

If you read his record, you will note that this judge tends to sympathize with defendants. He is not fair and equal. (See the case of NJ vs. Morgans (Sammy).)

I just cannot understand your ruling in the Morgan animal abuse case. Pathetic, is all I can say. You, sir, will have to answer to your Maker on Judgement Day for all of the damage that you have allowed to continue to happen to abused animals everywhere. Shame on you.
