Prejudges cases. NJ is not a community property state. We are an equitable distribution state. Not everything is automatically 50/50.

Civil Litigation - Private

To be fair, this judge has some qualities and is capable of scoring settlements. His approach however is do as little as possible. He does not care about any creative or fine advocacy, just settle the case and don’t bother me is the general theme. He got some favorites like Howard duff who he appoints repeatedly. He needs to respect lawyers’ right and duty to aggressively advocate for their clients as that is something which must not be discouraged. He however does so far too often. You are a bad guy if you dare to advocate zealously.
