Comments:
Judge Schott is the worst judge I have been before in 20 years of practice. She is nasty and discourteous. She interferes in trials like no judge I have ever seen. It is an absolute disgrace that she is still on the bench.

I've been practicing 25 years in the state and federal courts and Judge Schott -- by far -- is the absolute worst judge I have ever appeared before. She is nasty and discourteous to all attorneys before her, prejudges a case without considering the facts or law, jumps to unfounded conclusions, is intellectually lazy, considers matters outside of the evidence and, overall, is a bitter, unhappy person who clearly is angry at the world. She relishes in fighting and as soon as she steps on the bench she is looking to unjustifiably berate and attack any lawyer who appears before her. She seems to use her position as judge to right some wrong that was committed against her in life. She deserves no place on the bench let alone in society.

Comments:
Complex multiparty UFTA case. Judge is curt/abrupt, I am not from Essex, so everyone there seems like that to me. Might be a regional thing. However, everything she said was on point, to the point and accurately stated the law and the foreseeable procedural problems. She gave all parties an opportunity to be heard, and asked questions clearly designed to elicit the best argument from each party and make a thorough record. BE on time, follow/know the rules, and make no commitment you are not 100% sure you can fulfill- just say "I cannot make that commitment" and she won't press you, she simply will decide based on what commitments/evidence she has.

Judge Schott is very nasty to lawyers. She has some native intelligence but is not as bright as she thinks she is. She frequently doesn't listen to lawyers and just jumps to conclusions. She obviously does not enjoy being on the bench and takes it out on the litigants and their attorneys. In general she is bad news.
