Terrible judge. Waste of time to prepare for or appear before. Makes up his mind in advance. Ignores case law and citations. He is either ignorant of or does not care about the rule of law. In the interest of justice he should not wait until 2022 to retire

Judge Vena has a serious pro-defense bias. He either does not read the papers, does not understand the law or ignores arguments that do not concur with his preconceived belief. He is also inconsiderate in his scheduling and exhibits no flexibility in scheduling or thinking. He grants summary judgment in employment cases which are reversed on appeal because they are so poorly reasoned.

Judge Vena read the papers carefully and was not afraid to grant summary judgment in an employment case, which is refreshing.
