Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NJ2065
On a 2013 appellate panel that misrepresented/rewrote the facts of a case in affirming the court below, in addition to knowingly revealing confidential information throughout its opinion that was subsequently reported by third parties on the internet once the opinion was published on the world wide web. Creates an appearance that case fixing occurs in the appellate division.

It surprises me that, with the smarts that Judge Ashrafi so obviously has, he is not in the Appellate Division.

Comment #: NJ652
VERY prejudice and col,sed minded. In our case, he obviously made up his mind before the case started and was friends with the defendants lawyer. Did NOT have a fair trial.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NJ210
Has been explosive at times; holds a grudge against certain defendants who are sued frequently, whether or not the claims are meritorious or supported by any evidence.

Judge Ashrafi is an excellent judge and an asset to the bench. He improves practice in Somerset County

What a difference from the "old days" of this dreaded venue - it's now a pleasure to deal with the civil assignment clerk and Judge Ashrafi is a complete professional to deal with - I would not have any hestitation about appearing before this fine judge
