Every comment regarding this "Judge" and his favoring local attorneys is absolutely correct. I would bet a paycheck that any of the attorneys who rated this guy highly on this site are most likely local attorneys. He is so bad, that my attorney warned me ahead of time that he favors "his boys", and that my chances were slim... Even though I had evidence beyond the shadow of a doubt, it never even made it across his desk. Peterson pretty much told my attorney that I need to settle out of court because I wouldn't be able to afford the attorney fees associated with a trial that would most likely go on for a week. He made it clear that I didn't stand a chance to get compensated for my council fees. If there was such a thing as "justice", I should've walked away with over $200,000 cash plus attorney fees. I was basically forced to settle for 1/4 of that, and over half my settlement went to pay my attorney. So, when the smoke cleared, I went home with $17,000. He needs to step down and choose another career where he won't have such a negative impact on the public. Perhaps one where the most important question he can ask the public is, "Would you like fries with that Big Mac?" At least then, his actions wouldn't negatively affect people for years to come.

This Judge really saved my family. He did so much outside research that related to our case and ruled fairly. I am thankful for his compassion and willingness to listen.

This judge forms his own opinions and disreguards the facts of the case.... He costs the estates tons of money in allowing HIS attorneys to motion after motion and always rules in their favor. I am appealing now!!!

In my situation, my lawyer did a horrible job representing me, to the point that I am now in legal malpracice litigation. But Peterson just constantly praised my lawyer for doing a great job. It certainly appeared that a back room deal was worked out between my lawyer, the opposition, and Peterson prior to my trial even starting, especially since my lawyer obviously failed to present so many facts and evidence. But Peterson still gave him praise. I also completely agree with all of the comments listed in NJ469. I especially agree with the following statements: "poor judgment and careless in issuing orders; lacks the impartiality needed to consistantly reach fair and balanced decisions; showed a marked inability to follow sound logic; ignores credible admissible evidence and court rules when it does not fit his agenda; will find whatever is needed to justify his obvious erroneous findings. It appears that he jumps to a conclusion then finds or makes up justification for his erroneous findings."

Lacks the patience needed to hold a fair hearing; poor judgment and careless in issuing orders; lacks the impartiality needed to consistantly reach fair and balanced decisions; showed a marked inability to follow sound logic; ignores credible admissible evidence and court rules when it does not fit his agenda; will find whatever is needed to justify his obvious erroneous findings. It appears that he jumps to a conclusion then finds or makes up justification for his erroneous findings. I would not trust this man to correctly reason his way to a fair and impartial finding. Overall too closed minded to be a good judge.

This man is a thorough robber. He always goes for the local man, possibly takes money, and in general is very inept at being a judge of anything, except perhaps a judge of how much money his man can get in any given thrown case
