What others have said about Hon. Steven F. Nemeth

The Hon. Judge Nemeth could not judge a potato sack race. As a landlord, the case against the tenant was tried in his court. We sought damages after having attended evicted for harassment. The mediator told me that this judge would award less if I did not mediate. The mediator did not lie. The judge found six witnesses who took time off from work twice to testify as having poor character. He also denied a mountain of physical evidence, costing my wife and I $17,000. It seems justice is being denied to keep the court systems from being overwhelms. Is my opinion that these cases should be tried by municipal judges who only work one day a week. Our legal system needs to be revamped. I feel that my constitutional right to a fair trial was grossly violated.

Judge Nemeth is fair, reasonable and patient. He has a great ability to handle and cut through complex matters in litigation. He also makes sure that matters before him make sense procedurally, whereas other judges tend to ignore that. Though he is fairly new to the bench, he is one of the best judges I have yet to encounter.

Only appeared on papers, which were done at 11th hour, but granted in the normal course and very expediently. Not much more info to provide unfortunately, but will update if seen again.

This judge shows up on time and does not leave the bench until everyone is heard. He is fair, knowledgeable and courteous to counsel and litigants. His staff is equally courteous. I was very impressed with his ability to control his always very packed courtroom and get matters moving either towards settlement or resolution.
