I just saw a federal lawsuit he is a defendant in where he conspired with Judge Grasso and Judge Sumners where the aka's for him were "Frankie The Mutt", "Fat Frankie" and Frankie Waterguns" like a Mob Boss who when he can't intimidate someone he is so distrubed he just does anything he can, even though all of it is completely illegal and numerous felonies under NJ and Federal Law.

How he is a judge defies logic.

A very biased, rude and unprofessional judge. He uses bullying tactics and HATES Pro Se litigants with a passion. I firmly believe there is something very sinister going on for a judge to act so arrogant. There is Definitely something going on with real estate and these judges around here. Such a sketchy court here in Ocean County. I don't trust Any of these judges. This judge only does right by lawyers that he knows and likes. Beware!

After 20 years at the CIA and almost the same time as a private investigator I have never seen a judge who is a pure criminal, civil rights violator, has so little knowledge of the law it's frightening and despicable to do this all in retaliation and conspiracy with judge Grasso, Doran, Daniels and others that it makes me so sick he actually (temporarily) gets away with this.

Even worse, he has no clue what he's talking about and should stop interfering in cases he knows nothing about before he goes to prison for a very long, which in my opinion is exactly where he belongs. Ocean County NJ Superior Court is a cesspool with this miscreant as a judge and needs to cleaned up so he can't continue to harm families and others who have to suffer through his mental instability.

I am in private practice after 25 years in the intelligence community in high level positions, and have never in my life seen a judge commit so many crimes in retaliation against people who do not tolerate this erratic and extremely disturbing behavior.

In all my 25 years of practicing law I have never seen any judge that has no clue what they're doing until I had the unfortunate experience of running into this reprehensible poor excuse for a judge and a person.

Totally incompetent on every level, a menace to society and it is also incomprehensible to me and my colleagues he is actually a judge.

The "Hodgson the Clown Show" continued today in "court" with this moron. He got schooled again by a pro-se litigant and was told he was violating a NJ Supreme Court Order, which he was, so he ignored it like always.

Useless piece of dog crap.

Then he had the balls to tell this person, who has suffered more than anyone I have seen and fights harder for his kid than anyone ever, that he was taking "extravagant" vacations to Florida (which were paid for by friends) when this man has traveled the World with Bono, The Edge, Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, Sting and others, plus repped Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson for years, and traveled in Lear Jets and lived in $10,000 a night hotel suites his vacations with his little girl in regular hotels were extravagant. Lol.

Hodgson is a real hillbilly, a total disgrace, and should 100% be in prison.

I called the FBI on him not long after seeing this happen

Everyone in the courthouse is talking about how this low-life (their words now mine too) tries to bully everyone and when they stand up to him, he commits crimes against them, throws tirades at people because there are several particulars litigants in family court that refuse to let this punk push them around, and keeps children away from their parents and he's not even IN the family court. That is totally insane.

I now have also called the FBI and told them what he's doing.

In over 25 years of covering the courts for major newspapers I have never seen a worse judge who doesn't even seem to have any concept or understanding of the law.

I have no idea how he could even considered a judge. He's useless, lazy, lacks any legal acumen, and is a despicable human being.

Ocean county is a total embarrassment with a clown like this there.

As my chancery judge he showed bias and had no integrity at all. He should not be on the bench, he should not be a judge, he should not be practicing law, and I can't believe he's actually the assignment judge. Ocean County obviously has zero talented judges, and he takes the cake of worthless ones

Our family experience with this judge in the Ocean County Chancery division was that he plays by his own rules. He does not read Pro Se litigants documents until he his forced to. He refuses to recuse himself even knowing full well when he has a conflict and has his favorite lawyers and ex parte communications with them. Even having worked in the legal system myself I have never seen such a terrible display of Canon violations and lack of care for Pro Se litigants due process. He is biased and disgraceful. FAR FROM AN HONORABLE judge. He also does not like being called a LIAR but court transcripts will prove that is EXACTLY WHAT HE IS. HUGE disappointment and very arrogant. He should NOT be allowed on the stand or allowed to practice law.

When the jury asks a question he double talks then and tries to lead them to a guilty verdict. He has placed many innocent defenders in prison. I'm sure when he passes he will burn in hell

Has no respect for defendants does not allow them to give a proper defense favors the prosecution. I know because I was in prison for many years before the appeals court overturned my conviction. He has no right to sit on the bench. He is the prosecutors pet.

This judge has zero experience in private practice. He went from law school directly to working in the Ocean County prosecutor's office and then directly to being a judge. His perspective is neither objective nor judicial. His decisions are intended to defend the rights of Ocean County and its municipalities, not the rights of individuals or groups. He is ineffective, biased, and can be expected to disregard individual rights in favor of asserting the rights of and defending the interests of the entrenched with whom he has been associated for his entire career. He is inept and untrustworthy.

This jurist is both intellectually and emotionally ill equipped to be on the bench. The demeanor he exhibits is typical of a judge whose decisions are primarily influenced by the relationships he has cultivated with a tightly knit group of local attorneys who are adept at peddling their influence. Hodgson is neither circumspect, nor fair, nor objective, and can not be trusted to be impartial.

This miserable excuse for a judge, ordered a defendant to a drug rehab and then VOP'd that person when they didn't appear in court, due to the rehab 'dropping the ball' failing to alert the court that the defendant was in the drug rehab, he ordered them to be in. The defendant completed the program and was waiting for a bed in a long term drug program, when they were arrested and put in the Ocean County jail. Stabilized on Bipolar meds for the first time, the defendant was cut off from medication and went through violent physical reactions. Then after a month, finally is brought before this 'piece of garbage' judge and he tells the defendant they have a choice of 'Drug Court' or sitting in jail till whenever; instead of releasing her to the 9 month program that now had a bed for the defendant, which Hodgson was well aware of.
He should be sentenced to sit in the Ocean County jail for 5yrs. and eat the food and keep company with those he has put there.....both deservedly and undeservedly.

Daddy's boy with two years on bench. Will not make Senate confirmation. Owns a million dollar house on water in Surf City. Where the money comes from is anyone's guess; daddy's connections or married rich - not sure. Does not come on bench before 11. Seen hobnobbing with Prosecutor's often. Definitely a frat boy that got a nepotism job that he clearly can't handle. Another politician in a black robe - mediocre white mail at its finest.
