Takes a while to rule sometimes and seems to not really want to get involved unless he has to but ultimately this judge tries to do what’s best for all parties involved. When his orders finally do come out they are typically fair. His priority always seems to be the well-being of the children. I’m female and none of my experiences with this judge left me feeling like I was dealing with a misogynist.

Peter Boggard is unworthy to sit on the bench. It’s a shame a judge this biased and incapable of following NJ statues and procedures continues to be allowed to rule on anything much less decisions that impact children and families in a detrimental manner. Morris County should be ashamed and take immediate action against this “good ole boy” before more irreparable damage is done to the life’s of children he took an oath to preserve and protect.

Judge Peter Bogaard is a good ole boy stumper for the Morris County politicos. Regardless of how much material evidence you submit, he will find a way to manipulate the outcome to benefit his political counterparts.

TAKE CAUTION: read his final orders carefully, as he is very good at manipulating facts and writing his own fiction; that is why it takes so long for him to return a decision.

If you happen to be a female; be advised that Judge Bogaard shows tendencies of being a male chauvinist that does not believe calling a female a "bitch","Wack-job","Nutcase","Messed up" or requesting her to "bake the guys cookies" is denigrating or disparaging.

Even if you support your case with material evidence, expect to appeal his decision.

Like the Judge before him, he is more worried about his standing in the legal community than he is delivering justice.

Be very careful - this man is unworthy to sit on the bench.

Thin skinned, arrogant and pompous. Takes months to make a decision only to make rulings based on feelings rather than facts. Refuses to ask for simple documentation before making those decisions because he already knows the facts. Makes inappropriate comments based on income, child care and support.

Took forever to rule. Clerk told me decision would be based on paper with no court appearance. Four months later, they held a court appearance and never alerted me. I appealed with proof that they never contacted me. Five months later, refused to reconsider and denied everything. Double dipped child support reduction. Included other rulings in defendant's favor that weren't even in the original order.

made a ruling without the proper documents to factually back it up. The motion was to decrease child support, motion was granted based on the payers word, child support lowered to $40 per week for 2 teenagers, with $32k in arrears. When asked to have the facts recorded, the response was "I already ruled and have another case to hear"

Did give an order for several months after appearance. Refused to enforce his own orders. Allows litigants to do as they please and violate orders, because he won't do anything about it.
