Judge Charney rarely reads the papers submitted. Her knowledge of the law is suspect as she often gets simple concepts wrong. She has refused to consider Supreme Court decisions that effect the issues in the case.....she seems to think she knows more on the law than the Supreme Court and has no obligation to follow their ruling(s).

Where to start with this embarrassment to the judicial process? I was a pro-se father with a straightforward case. In summary, she ignored a $9,000 custody evaluation advising both parents attend counseling while custody increases, and instead impersonated a therapist and diagnosed me with defiance disorder while ordering me to therapy. All this while sexually harassing me talking about I'm charming. She is beyond unfair, previous comments regarding self-represented litigants are completely accurate she doesn't recognize them, she is vehemently unprofessional, outdated and she is a vicious menace to NJ family law. I have filed complaints with the ACJC against her and I plan to escalate that initiative as far as possible because I have to try and stop this evil. Please make sure you have a lawyer (female counsel if you're a father) when dealing with this garbage can.

Motion for pre-suit discobery directed to trucking co for preservation of trucl which had been totalled with title and possession then given to insurance company. She thereafter ordered the trucking co which submitted certification of non ownership and nonpossession to produce it anyway. Didnt seem to grasp insurance company not insured possessed it and insurance company was not before the court.

I had this miserable judge for my child support case. I had requested full custody and a restraining order against my child father. She threw the whole entire case out an treated me nonhuman because I have 3 children and no income at the moment. All she did the whole case was roll her eyes as if shes any better than the next. She shouldn’t even be a judge. Who throws out a whole child support case !!

From the brief encounter I had with Judge Charney, she was even tempered, polite, well versed in family law and procedure, and professional. I have nothing negative to say about her.

She dosen't read,review or care about any child. She wants to be a fake Judge Judy but has many secrets of her own. She's a racist and a liar her decisions mean nothing and when you stand befor her on her own weakness and lack of respect she lies and screams but must forget its recorded transcripts her secrets are soon to be exposed

This Judge does not do job. She does not thoroughly review her cases or even review them at it seems. Get representation if you have to work with this Judge because she treats people who are not represented as Second Class citizens. An attorney can ensure your voice is heard and everything is addressed. It was sad to watch her treatment of Pro Se litigants. She is prejudice. Even when the case is straight forward, she didn’t resolve concerns. I agree with all the previous comments below.

I had high hopes for this judge because I heard she had been a knowledgeable family attorney. This Judge CLEARLY did not read my Complaint or any of the Replies. She addressed 1 out of 5 requests, in a hard nosed, biased way, before ending the discussion of my case and ignoring all other concerns. One of the causes for concern was my daughters exposure to a violent felon. I requested the Court review this man’s records rather than making assumptions or trying to investigate the situation myself. Again, she dismissed my case before reviewing any of my concerns minus the first one. I don’t know how someone can sleep at night knowing that they could put a child’s life at risk due to their negligence. Very disappointing experience, especially when had heard otherwise and was told my case would be seriously considered by the judge considering that the other party was in contempt of numerous orders and had repeated, documented offenses. Again, she just truly probably didn’t read a word of what I sent in and could not care less about what happens to my daughter. It was eveident and very disheartening.

Horrible, this judge is biased against men. She refused to hear both sides and you can see that she obviously has ruled in favor of the female party before entering the courtroom.
