Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NJ4430
Rating:2.9
Comments:
This guy is disgrace. Nice guy. But he just does not rule on motions. Unoppossed motions will sit for months. I mean that. Months. discovery dates will lapse because he just will not rule on pending motions. He cannot handle a docket. He should be removed from the bench for either incompetence or his sheer laziness. Cases get stuck because he wont rule on things for so long that the parties cannot proceed. Plaintiffs will break the rules, and one would think to file a motion...but it by the time he addresses it...it is too late.

Rating:2.6
Comments:
Horrible. Nice guy, but he almost never actually heres Oral Argument on the return date, and frequently reserves judgment. Then you wait months, I am not exaggerating, months for him to release pretty bare bones opinions. Do not count on motions be ruled on in a timely fashion, even when they are unopposed. Return dates mean nothing. Months will go by before vital motions are ruled on. Calls to chambers, written letters, get ignored. Cannot manage his docket.

Comment #: NJ3973
Rating:1.0
Comments:
Although he initially appeared to be competent and concerned, over time Judge Passamano became hostile to one party and showed a glaring lack of professionalism. He ultimately made decisions based on anecdotal information from one party, totally ignoring documents and facts.
