The judge has the most thankless job in the judiciary running the busiest hosing court docket in the state. Now that housing court is back in person full time I have observed him handle every kind of housing case and a good number of other sometimes complex civil motions in between. He can settle just about any housing case as has more patience with many self represented people than I can fathom. He talks to people in a way that really tries to engage them (though I think he’s wasting his time sometimes). The judge is really into his job. He knows that law and he seems like a friendly person. He’s respectful to everyone and the regulars in housing court, lawyers for tenants and landlords, all really seem to like and respect him.

Be based my case on a unfair stipulation which was invalid and evicted me and my four kids out of our home. He apologize to the court when he never hurt the court he hurt me. Took money pain and a psychologist to gett my apartment back. I’m permanently scared

A breath of fresh air in Essex. Very few landlord tenant judges have the patience or interest or willingness to put time into routine eviction proceedings. This judge invests a lot of effort making sure it's done right and listening to the lawyers and the parties. From my perspective that level of attention is usually a waste as many defendants don't deserve the amount of time he gives them but he lets everyone be heard. He expects everyone to be prepared and he knows the law. It's a very professionally run court room.

He is stupid doesn't know what hes doing and his secretary is his cousin, nothing like a little nepotism.
