What on God's green earth is going on in Ocean County's court system? The corruption/incompetence is astounding. This judge is yet another pompous clown. I see all the family court comments here, and that makes me boil because I have been there myself though it was in Monmouth years back. JUST AS BAD. A HORROR. Family court is the worst. There is no concern for the kids. It's all biased bs that keeps them in business. My current case is a fairly small civil one. But everyone's matter is important to him. If not for these horrible judges, I would be at peace knowing that whenever I bring a case, it is a solid, winnable one. But because of them, and the system in general, my insides are tied up in knots every time I have to deal with anything in this court.

Judge Doran took the time to read our entire case with about 50 court orders. He saw immediately that our case was mishandled and work hard to fix the damage done by the original incompetent judge and then the lackadaisical other judges that were assigned. We were saddened that he left family court. But, if it wasn’t for him none of the immense progress would have been made. If I have one complaint, it is that he never ordered sanctions against the litigant for their blatant disregard for a judges order

This Judge is an embarrassment to the entire judicial system and should be removed from family court. I went before this Judge for Child Support. My son 20 was working while attending college and just moved in with his father when i went before this judge. My daughter lived with me and she was 14. This Judge never ran the Child Support Guidelines or even looked at either of our earnings and said it was an “ even swap” for child support. He then stated on record and in his Order, with Prejudice, that I can’t receive Child Support….ever for my son! So if he moved back home that night I could not ever collect child support for him! This is not even legal! He’s a poor example for a Judge! He should be investigated and removed!

Judge John Doran does not belong in Family Court, went into court with evidence of abuse and neglect ( huge folder ). Looked at none of it, left the room for about 10 minutes, came back and dismissed. And I quote, “figure it out”. Going on 2 years, 3 times in court, and my child continues to be in harms way and mentally/emotionally struggling. Judge Doran is a disgrace

Apparently my previous opinion of this oaf in a black robe was removed. Needless to say, my opinion of this poor excuse of a judge is very low. He should be removed from the bench and escorted to the back and placed in a cell where he can destroy no more lives. The Feds should look into NJ family courts [Redacted by Ed.]

This guy has no clue about the law, the statutes, he's got a functional ignorance about his job, the canons, he is immature, lacks basic intelligence (ie: he;s an idiot), and has no business in the chair. He has to go.

Impossible to understand how a guy this dumb is actually a judge.

It's mind boggling to think he actually has the authority over family matters, when he clearly is clueless, completely unprepared, and barely knows the family law or the court rules.

I'm shocked he's a judge, he has to go.

Judge Doran is a very effective jurist who has an encyclopedic knowledge of the law. He is considerate and fair to all parties.I have appeared in front of many judges in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania over the years and Judge Doran is one of the BEST!!!

This Judge is a Racist bias judge who is pro mother.. This judge told me directly that he was giving my child to a woman who just got charged with poss and distribution of 5000 doses of heroine.. He is a disgrace to any judicial system.. I also went to his court room for time with the other party not showing up and he wouldn’t let me even present my evidence.. I will be filling a complaint and federal charges against him and the court.. Also i will be contacting the NAACP .. My rights were violated several times by this court..

This Judge is the worst. He makes decisions based around zero proof or evidence. That fact that he is on the bench for the family division is disgusting. This judge proves the system has no justice. I don’t know how he sleeps at night knowing he destroys families. He should be removed from the family division.

Judge Doran is a complete disgrace to the bench. I had to file Federal Charges against him in order to be able to see my children. As such he was removed from the bench for 8 months pending a Federal Court Decision.
