Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:2.0
Comments:
He ruined our family by failing to read our timely filed answer in a foreclosure proceeding, entering judgment for the mortgage company in violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the Fair Credit and Reporting Act and applicable Federal laws. His Order, entered BECAUSE he did not read our answer (and he admitted to not bothering to read it or the accompanying motion ON THE RECORD!!!!) placed us in the impossible position of foreclosure -- he didn't even have the courtesy to refer us for mediation -- just couldn't WAIT to find in favor of the mortgage company who engaged in significant fraud (collecting insurance payments from us for years and then claiming there was no insurance policy). Judge Battan refused to even read about it, and 7 YEARS later we are still SCRAPING trying to exist.
Shameful!!!!!
