This Judge should not be wearing a robe and deciding issues, let alone making legal decisions. He is inept and never prepared. He is an embarrasment to other Judges in the state and federal systems

I filed my divorce 6/2013. It's a slam-dunk case but it's still going on with no end in sight. Unacceptable.

His decisions do not reflect therapeutic awareness with regard to children, emotional abuse or economic abuse.

His responses are simply "I wear the robe" so I know best. He bases his decisions on his own experience with his children and college, showing absolutely no real world experiences for circumstances in divorce. The children are clearly the losers based on his decisions.

This Judge is a racist and and he will rule against you if you are immigrant or black , i was watching him and i saw him protecting his friend even the other party is a convicted criminal in USA . I believe in this country and in the constitution on United state and i dont think that the other country should treat the americans different because the Essex court and the state of New Jersey allowed this racist to act the way he does . He got this position by political indication and he acts the way he does because he has immunity as a judge . Is notorious that he could not perform well on the criminal court.

He was transferred from criminal to family court where his lack of knowledge and experience in this area were blatantly obvious. He was condescending and far from impartial. He permitted a rather simple matter to drag on for well over a year adding legal fees and wasting the court's time. My attorney knew more than Casale and he was intimidated by that fact. Even after a court mandated mediation was done, he allowed the case to continue for 6 additional months and the final disposition was exactly as spelled out in the mediation. He did not exert judicial control over the case and should not have allowed one attorney to continue to file post mediation settlement motions.

Judge Casale is the ultimate narcissist with the math skills of a fifth grader (if that). He is rude, prejudice, lazy, has no listening skills and when dealing with him you can't help but question his knowledge of the law. He ignores the facts and issues unsupported court orders as he pleases. After complying with one of his support orders 100% he found me in contempt because the order DID NOT SAY WHAT HE INTENDED IT TO SAY??? This man has no business proceeding over family court and should not be allowed to pass any judgments without a jury conviction. If he does know the law he knowingly and willingly chooses to ignore it. Judge Casale is a true “good old boy” who has yet to come to grasp with the concept of fair and equitable, instead he just looks out for his buddies (In my case he graduated with to of the siblings of my Ex). Judge Casale’s questionable, unsupported judgments ruined my life and that of my daughter. I will never forgive him for this. If you are appointed this judge, and you want to end up on ahead, you better do your homework and make sure that your lawyers has a good track record with this judge. There are no fair and equitable rulings with Judge Casale, it is win big or lose big.

Twice I appeared before him, and once we had a conversation. His general inclination is toward those with whom he is friendly or seems to know...he is "the old boy" network, personified. He doesn't apply the law to the facts. He comments, inappropriately, on the rulings of other courts that he disapproves of, and makes the adjustments in the case before him irrespective of facts or law -- whichever he chooses to follow at the moment. He interrupts counsel that he doesn't like and allows the other side to speak freely. Judge Casale is surprisingly rude. Clients suffer, and the fair application of the law is not had in his courtroom. His staff takes on his persona. I once clerked for a judge who would never dream of what can only be denominated judicial misconduct.

Comments:
Very biased -- depending on who you have as an attorney, he favors either the plaintiff or the defendant. He needs to just focus on the facts which are in black and white. He makes comments to people, attempting to belittle them. Also, if an attorney is his friend, that's the side he will be on. He allows his emotions and personal feelings to get in the way of his profession.

This judge made me realize why the judicial system of America is so flawed. He was not objective and didnot even hide his bias at all in his ruling. He expressed his own personal opinion several times during the hearing. He took it upon himself to punish me for having taken a job out of the country and rewarding my ex-husband in terms of the child support payment by denying me the second child deduction. The fact is, I have 2 children and I am supposed to get the other child deduction as per the Child Support Guidelines. If you know that this judge will be presiding over your case, make sure you get a male lawyer to defend you. And to think that my tax dollars are going to pay people like him. Sad.
