Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NJ2753
Rating:5.6
Comments:
During years of appearances before, stomaching her demeaning sarcasm, abrupt behavior, histrionics, and inconsistent rulings, I was struck with how little she liked her job or the attorneys before her. But on the rare good days, she could be warm engaging and normal. She does have a love of the law and works exceptionally hard. She is intelligent. That did not prevent her being reassigned to chancery. She has aspired to AppDiv. That would be a better fit. No people to lavish disrespect upon.

Comments:
Unfortunately, the Honor's temperament, knowledge in the law, and interest in ruling with justice is lacking.

Smart, kind, flexible and works extremely hard. A pleasure to appear before. Judge McCormick would make an excellent Appellate Judge.

I sat through a bunch of hearings waiting for my divorce case. I had a feeling that because my wife's lawyer changed her reason for divorce that we were held until the end. I thought the judge was fair and I watched her display interest, caring and concern even through the routine matters. I covered the courts as a reporter and I didn't see even a trace of the arrogance that sometimes comes with a trip to the robing room.
