Apparently, agreed-upon PSA's are unenforceable in her courtroom. Better yet, why even appear to try and have them enforced? Better yet, ask for an appearance, and then be denied arguments, only to have a decision on papers. Her decisions are irrational and baseless, and any judge with any common sense -- one of which she is not -- would not have the nerve to display such flagrant ignorance of the law. She cost me, emotionally and financially. Unfortunately, you cannot change your judge, and we have to hope that she is eventually reassigned to a different division, where her decisions cannot have such a huge impact. I am thinking night court?

This judge should be removed. It was the most bizarre experience that I have ever had. She clearly takes sides with her favorite attorneys and their clients, even if they are dead wrong. She needs to be removed from the bench. In my case, I had to wait for over a year for my daughter to be returned to me. My ex, in an effort to gain custody so that he would no longer have to pay child support, requested a custody evaluator -- and then, even after it was complete in 30 days, he bounced checks for a year and the judge did nothing and I was without my daughter! I petitioned the court four times, and she refused to give me back my daughter. Finally, a year after even when the evaluation's first sentence read that my daughter should be returned to me immediately, that she was in psychological danger by living at her dad's, she was still siding with him, and returned her to me begrudgingly! She is a nutjob, and needs to be removed. Even now when he doesn't pay child support -- and coincidentally was brought before her -- he only had to pay a hundred dollars and she let him go!

The Honorable Judge Coyle is anything but. She is dishonorable, and should be fired. She does not read orders drafted by her law clerks, prior to signing them. She is a disgrace. I will incur thousands of dollars in legal fees to appeal a case, because she doesn't even know what was in the order that she signed. I have tried to be a good father to my kids, but my ex-wife has brainwashed our kids against me. I have offered to pay for one-third of their college tuition and pay back their student loans, and Judge Coyle says that I am "shirking" my responsibilities as a father, and that I do all I can to avoid paying child support. I have never missed or been late with a support payment, and I pay $15,000 per year. Now she wants me to pay $14,000 every year for five years for my son to attend Drexel University, and also pay $15,000 for support. Plus, my daughter plans to attend NCU next year at a cost of $14,000 more for me for each year. That's $45,000 out of my pocket every year. I just don't have that kind of money, but the judges in New Jersey just don't care. I pay for two kids I haven't seen in almost ten years, even though I moved to within a quarter of a mile to be close to them.

Judge Coyle waited more than six months to make a post-judgement order, and she screwed the whole thing up, by allowing hearsay written testimony with no oral argument allowed. She appears to be a man-hater who makes irrational decisions based on hearsay, without reading the facts submitted. She should be disbarred, as she is unworthy of the honor of being a judge and is incapable of making impartial decisions. Her grossly negligent mistakes will now cost me thousands of dollars to appeal, and for that she should be forced out, as I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to.

This judge demonstrates disgusting behavior and apparent abuse of power. From the second that she stepped into the courtroom, she showed her absolute favoritism toward one party. She smiled and seemed almost "smitten" at times towards the unwed dad while showing complete contempt for the unwed mother. She did not give the mother one chance to tell even part of her story. She then proceeded to an outburst in the courtroom, directed at the mother and belittling her and degrading her. She is an absolute disgrace and the reason, at times, that our judicial system lacks credence. I was a courtroom observer, waiting for my case to be called. The young mom left in tears and I felt her pain. I guess what really got to me is the way she spoke to the dad -- almost glowingly, and with contempt towards the mom. She is disgusting and should be thrown off the bench for her emotional outbursts.

I filed a complaint with the NJ Judicial Review board regarding Judge Coyle, as well as a letter to Governor Christie and the AG. She is the most blatant example of a political appointee legislating from the bench in NJ! All who took the time to write on the blog, should do the same, or Judge Coyle will get tenure in 2014, and there'll be no stopping her!

This is a man-hating judge who puts women's needs first without any consideration for men, especially fathers. She should not only not be re-elected, she should be disbarred and immediately removed from the bench. She is a disgrace to the system.

I have heard numerous stories about deadbeats. After one year and a lot of motions, as well as, a lot of hard work by myself without a lawyer, there is finally justice. Judge Coyle is fair and doesn't stand for anyone not acting responsible as they should as a parent. The judicial system on a whole is a big FAIL. The system is bombarded with the same types of complaints. If you want something done, do not depend on anyone but yourself to do the work to get it in front of your Judge. Judge Coyle is to the point, accurate and finally I know that some justice has been done!

A motion had to be filed as my ex wife and I could not agree upon a new child support amount for the remaining children as 1 of my children were emanicipated.

I have a shared parenting arrangement with my ex-wife and my child support has never been late 1 day. This should of been a very easy case to decide however, it turned into a nightmare.

Unfortunately, Judge Coyle's decision were based on the papers and she did not allow for oral arguments. The decision (which came 6 months later) was not based on the facts presented in the papers.

Although the Judge granted my shared custody with the kids, her calculations were based utilizing the sole parenting worksheet (instead of the shared parenting worksheet), the incorrect marital status and the incorrect number of dependents.

Fortunately, the attorneys for both sides were able to reach an agreement based on the facts at hand, reducing my child support half of what the Judge ordered.

The Judge was careless in her execution of the Order and she is an embarrassment to the bench.

Judge Coyle is the best Judge in Monmouth County. She "calls it like she sees it" It is clear to me that one very disgruntled litigant has rallied his/her friends and relatives to submit negative ratings that are not true.

Someone needs to look into Coyles relationship with the lawyers who go before her bench. Understand she likes to socialize with many of the Monmouth county lawyers, than fail to disclose those relationships. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me.

My husband has had a nightmare in this judges court. His ex is bitter and her attorney worked Coyle over with lots of stories, but little facts. Ran into another attorney at a dinner recently and mentioned coyle, the lawyer commented that she's the judge who always has the "nails" done. What a claim to fame! Get yourself a new judge if you find yourself in this court room.

Citizens of Freehold and Momouth County, we must stop Judge Coyle from attaining Tenure. She is a political oppointee of Corzine and has little regard for justice. Write your congress person, write the APP, file a complaint with the NJ Bar Assoc. Save your sons and daughters from being a victim of her complete disregard for facts.

I have had a 3 year horry story involving Judge Coyle. She dismissed my attorneys without understanding or concidering the facts in the case and as one other litigant said, hates men. She found that I acted in "bad faith" (without a hearing) because I went bankrupt, but my wife who she awarded +$40k booked a trip to the Bahamas while Coyle was diliberating. She was arrogant, smug and oppinionated. Everything the American court system is not suppose to be.

just came from a violation of ro heard by judge coyle.. extremely impressed by her astute perception of the complexity surrounding dv law and the power and control issues that spark the abuse.. instead of the survivor being abused once again in court, which happens so often, she clearly got the "HIStory" fast...surfaced the truth.. and consequences for the violation brought a so well-deserved justice for the survivor who walked out forever focused on her safety awareness and her peace..

This judge is extremely biased. She flat out sides with people because of an attorney they have, or a if she feels a personal affinity towards an individual's situation. No wonder father's are murdering their children in Monmouth County, when judges like Coyle so readily give them visitation rights. What ever happened to the best interest of the child????

it was clear that a) she didn't understand basic law concepts and b) was biased. First, she didn't understand the definition of when the issues of the marriage "accured" and "arose" and allowed a divorce proceeding to stand in her county, even thou my ex-wife had moved there 1 month earlier (we lived and were married in another county). My lawyer and my personal advisor (also a lawyer) were incredulous over this obvious ingnorance on the judge's part. Secondly, even thou it was clear and Judge Coyle admitted that my wife mislead the court on her finanical needs - the Judge, in open court, said that because I could afford to continue to pay support, that I should, regardless of whether my exwife needed the money (or that she lied to justify her need)....nope, the Judge said I had to pay because I could afford to! Oh and my wife's lawyer didn't respond to discovery requests - we had to put a motion to compel him to do what he should have already done - the Judge didn't admonish him for being late and not sharing information. Clearly she is going thru the motions and was appointed on "who she knows", not "what she knows".

Let me start by saying that Judge Coyle is extremely condescending. I have been in and out of Family Court for many years, never as a direct party but as support for family members. I have witnessed Judges in Monmouth Cty who are respectful and strive to be unbiased and uphold the law. This Judge speaks down to people, forgetting that she puts her "robe" on the same way as everyone else. Forgetting that the folks in her court are just people looking for justice. She is biased and doesn't do her homework. It is understood that in most cases, it is impossible to read the entire history of what is before her, which is reason enough why she should refrain from her negative comments and simply hear the facts that are before her. A Judge is suppose to be impartial and fair. Her courtroom is suppose to be a place where people come for justice, not a tongue lashing before she even understands the facts or because she's having a bad day. If this Judge is going to reprimand people, she should take the time to understand the facts before she embarrasses people as well as herself. I walked away with the impression that she not only favors the attorneys that she is friends with but she favors women. If you are a man, you start out with a strike against you. Even if you are an excellent father with custody of your children. I actually heard her make fun of a relationship between a Father and Son. I'm shocked a complaint hasn't been filed. She shouldn't assume that all women are good mothers. It may shock her to know that some women are BAD parents. Even if they are sitting crying in her courtroom pretending to be the victim. She suspended child support in a case where the father has custody because the mother lost her job. If it were the father who lost his job, would she have suspended child support? Doesn't the child still have to eat and be clothed? My husband had full and sole custody of his children thanks to the diligence, fairness and intelligence of a Monmouth County Judge. He understood the laws, he ordered their mother to pay child support regardless of the fact that she had no job. She found the money, she was held accountable for her children. For Judge KC to suspend child support simply because of unemployment did nothing but allow this mother time to sit tight and collect unemployment for two years without so much as even looking for a job. What's fair about that? The parents are equally responsible for their children. Maybe if this Judge would have upheld that "law", it would have forced that deadbeat mother to go get a job and help support her son. Nothing fair about this Judge. She makes her decisions before she even enters the courtroom. Good luck if you're a guy. Hopefully she'll be rotated out of family soon - that would be doing all of Monmouth County a favor.

This judge is biased, inappropriate, emotional, and disrespectful. She makes up her mind well in advance as to who is good and who is bad, and she absolutely lets you know throughout if you are good or bad. If you are bad, good luck having your side actually heard. She demonstrates an odd, personal affinity for some attorneys. Additionally, she demonstrates little interest or knowledge in critically applicable statutes or case law. She prefers to rule in emotion rather than law. It simply amazes me how someone as partial, biased and generally uninformed can be appointed to apply and uphold the law. She is absolutely a disgrace to the profession as well as to the State of New Jersey.

She is total disgrace to Monmouth County. So Biased and unfair Judge. She makes up her mind about both the parties in advance, that who is the bad party and who is the good party and doesn't even want to see the proofs and listen to "her made up bad Party" side, in the trial.
Total shame!!!

She obviously had not read the motion before the court. She very obviously had not read ANY of the history of the case. She had already made up her mind before she even heard oral argument. It was obvious she was "very friendly" with the plaintiff's attorney. She barely even let the defendant's attorney speak, cutting her off before she was finished. She was biased, unfair, ignored the facts and was outright sarcastic to the defendant. I agree with the other comment - it was downright bizarre!!

This judge was well prepared for a matrimonial post-judgment motion which she had never been involved in previously. She decided before coming on the bench that one side was good and the other side was bad. From there it was all downhill. As she proceeded she became angry and hostile to one party, while praising the other party lavishly. She simply ignored documented evidence of wrong-doing by the party she had embraced. there was not a scintilla of balance. The losing party went away feeling devastated and insulted. When we got the order a few days later she gave relief to the party she had favored that had not even been requested! It seems that she was out to punish the other side. I had never seen a judge become so emotionally involved in a case that she had never handled before. It was simply bizarre.
