This judge is a bully. He is pompous and likes to hear himself talk. He does not do his homework. He reads the case for what seems like the first time in the court and with the information right in front of him, he still gets it wrong. That’s because he is not at all familiar with the facts. If you have to appear before this judge, you can bet Justice will NOT be served.

Judge Becker is neither smart nor hard working. His grasp of probate law is weak at best, his temperament is sexist and dismissive, and his rulings are based on as little work as he can possibly do.

I have read through the comments on this site regarding Judge Becker with a sense of confusion. I have to be honest -- I have never seen the Judge Becker that some people have negatively described. I stood before him, both with an attorney and pro se (representing myself), and he was always by the book and as fair as the law allowed. To begin with, I had a very complex divorce. My wife and I owned a large gymnastics school that had to be divided. Judge Becker guided us through the mess fairly. After the divorce was final, we still had several motions to execute on visitation issues, where I represented myself, and again, Judge Becker was fair. I will, however, offer a strong word of warning. Judge Becker gives short shrift to pettiness and disorganization. If you represent yourself, do your homework, follow the law and present yourself in a professional and organized fashion. Do so and you will have a fair hearing. Come in sloppy and disorganized and you can still expect fairness, but it won't be a pleasant experience. The bottom line is, if you represent yourself, do it right!

This judge sentenced a man to 30 days for shopping at Dunkin Donuts because his neighbor works at the school next to DD in Millville. He stopped their three times in five years. He said that was harrassment. The neighbors had a bitter property line dispute.. He did not allow the defendant to get an attorney. He sign the bail for 33000. He violated the defendants constitutional, human and civil rights. He should be impeached.
