Criminal Defense Lawyer

Rating:9.5
Comments:
This Judge clearly subscribes to a "tough love" approach but beneath has a heart of gold. She is particularly thoughtful in her "special proceedings" involving drug court / mental health court participants, and seeks rehabilitation over straight punishment when possible. Those Judicial Commission questionnaires are only filled out by vindictive people with an axe to grind and no accountability so should be disregarded.

Comments:
No wonder the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Committee recommended "Do NOT Retain" for Linda Rogers. She has demonstrated a striking lack of concern for the public good. I have no confidence that she would judge any case in a fair and impartial manner.

Comments:
Can be very tough and scary in her courtroom demeanor, but this is an excellent, thoughtful and intelligent judge who cares deeply about the public and the criminal defendants that come before her and tries to benefit both of them to the extent possible with her rulings. Should be considered for higher judicial office.
