Perhaps a good judge if he would come out of chambers.
However, in a complicated guardianship case in Queens County court - we never did see him on the bench.
The case was run by his court clerk and very poorly.
My mother's medical condition became critical in the months that the case was delayed and was deceased before any decisions were made.
I unhappily had to settle the case as it was clear that justice would not be served.

Comments:
Awful. Judge did not appear at all during course of the case. Justice was delayed, and denied in a significant and personal case, while the Judge delegated management to his clerk, Chang, who presided over the proceedings in an arbitrary and capricious manner. Both of them should be fired.

Definitely one of the top Jurists that I have come across. Clearly tops in Queens. His low key even handed manner makes trying a case in front of him a pleasure. Works to try and settle the case and is always punctual.

Professional, bright, approachable, even-handed and savvy. A great assignment for either side.

A true gentleman and very fair and evenhanded judge. I have won cases and lost cases in front of him, and there has never been any hint of malice or an unspoken agenda involved. If all of the judges in Civil Court were as professional as Judge Mayersohn, it would be a much more pleasant venue in which to practice.
