I just didn't have a fighting chance today with this judge. He walked into the court room grumpy and make a bunch of funny but serious threats to evict or dismiss everyone who did not try to work things out. Furthermore, he did not allow me fair and reasonable time to communicate with counsel with regards to a preponderance of the evidence to get a stay of eviction. I am a low income parent of two and this judge was not willing to let my lawyer explain that we needed more time. Whatvhappened to my rigHt to counsel that is and was competent and we'll informed of the facts of the law and advising me? I felt so bad for my lawyer. He believed in me and we will be appealing. I respect that the Judges has to act solely on legal defenses versus factual defenses so he gets a 3 for that bit of information. He was mean and nasty in his tone, dry humor and decision making.

Patient but demanding with those who want to slide through life, explains things when it might help the courtroom understand the law and procedures, gives those with reasonable reasons time to correct problems before they return, and is willing to try to accommodate the indigent in the way that they fulfill sentences and pay fines. He is what I would want to be if I had to do his job.
