This Judge should be removed and banned from the legal profession. She is uncaring and detached from her cases and (humanity) in general. Judge Sattler is indifferent to the safety of the children that are placed in her care. She makes decisions with a cold disregard for these children's lives and safety. She should not be allowed to make such decisions and I wonder if she is able to sleep at night knowing that she is ruining so many lives, and in some cases, placing children's lives and safety at risk.

Another Judge, produced by the New York Court system, elected and not selected. The quality is the same as with the politicians. Legal knowledge restricted, prejudice extendeded. She decides on a very superficial level, where it is just by coincidence, if sometimes justice wins.
In principle with judges like that, you could also put a monkey in a black robe and let the monkey throw a coin.
She really should be taken off the bench.

AWFUL and an insult to the legal system. She looks to get rid of cases as fast as possible. She does not read any documentation or even the motion itself. Takes the rights away from people by not allowing them to speak and defend themselves. Court staff sees what goes on and can't do anything. She whispers inappropriate comments to the court officer that are offensive to the litigants. When facts and evidence are brought up she shuts it down and ignores it. She doesn't allow the attorney to even finish a sentence and acts as if a case can be presented in sound bites. She clearly doesn't read the law and rules on hunches. She allows anything to go not following any rules. I'ts like the wild west where you feel like you are a prisoner without Miranda rights.She dismisses a case in 15 minutes without hearing out all sides. It seems she makes up her mind before she even gets to the case and doesn't waver when facts or evidence are presented. Indeed a very very sad addition to the legal system in which she made me lose all trust. She needs to be de-benched or disciplined.

She does not want to grasp fine points. She want to remain only on a very superficial level. I am sorry that an awful Judge was only replaced by a average person who don't want to get involved. She sees the abuse going on in front of her eyes and she ignores it. Because nothing should disturb her carreer planning. She thinks that the more she rules something the more she could make a mistake. So stay out of everything and force the people to settlement, no matter if this is justice or not. She don't really care, as long as this is outside of her responsibility. If there is a responsible administrative Judge reading these lines, let her go upstairs or get her off the bench. But she is no win for postmatrimonial department. Another Judge who doesn't want to read the motions and just listens to the gossip of other court staff to make her mind up. Disappointing and unfair Judge.

Unable to grasp fine points of a case and sort fact from fiction.
End result is damaging to all involved, even those who think they won the case.
Not a competent judge overall, mediocre at best, just as most of the judges in NY State Supreme Court who are products of the NY Democratic machine.
