Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY6549
Justice Owen-Stinson is uninterested in the law and would prefer not to be bothered with a discussion of precedent or statute. Despite myriad citation to binding law on the issue before her, the Judge was uninterested in following the same. Was disrespectful to the moving counsel, rolling her eyes and making dismissive and disruptive gestures and noises while argument was ongoing. Shocked when attorney called her on it. Plainly biased pro defense and plainly unconcerned with following the law. Terrible judicial temperament.

Great and learned judge.

Un-Honorable Judge Betty Owen Stinson is one of the most despicable persons I have ever met, in my entire life on this earth. In my opinion she has no values or conscience, she is incompetent, she is vengeful, abuses her power, and creates havoc in our judicial system. In my opinion she actually is a disgrace to those honorable Judges that sit at the bench, and go by the law. From what I have seen of Ms. Stinson; she does not respect or go by the Constitution of the United States, and goes by her own rules. Apparently "due process" is not a word in her vocabulary, nor does she adhere to it. She appears to have no respect for anyone, including the law. She has been cited allegedly for misconduct in Florida, from my understanding by the Florida Bar. I believe she carried over the same behavior to the New York Courts. I honestly believe she had endangered at least one person’s life, by her erroneous, bias, unlawful if not illegal Orders/Judgments, and nothing but a criminal that has not paid her debt to society for her crimes. Until I met her, I have had respect and honored every person in our legal system. Quite honestly, there is only one Judge Stinson, and thank God we do not have more like her, making decisions in our Court Rooms. I am not sure if she just does not comprehend the law, she thinks she is above the law, or if she is just out and out corrupt; and in time will get caught and reprimanded in the State of New York - as she allegedly was reprimanded in the State of Florida for misconduct. Hopefully, when her term ends in 2013, she will no longer cause any more pain, suffering, and hardships in her "victims" lives - and she can be replaced with another one of the honorable judges, that New York is proud to have presiding in our Court System.

Respectfully, one that had endured so very much pain and suffering due to this women and her sham hearing. Honestly I find it hard to believe she is behind the bench making any kind of decision. In my opinion, she is just not qualified to be behind the bench, in “any” Court room – or she is just out and out corrupt to the bone, and should be indicted. Tax payers deserve more than this kind of person behind the bench. And litigants deserve a fair hearing/trial. 09/25/2012
