I was present in Richmond County Supreme
Court on April 10, 2018 during the motion hearing brought by defendant in the case of Maria Baldari against Armando Montelango Seminars. The Judge was totally unprepared for the hearing. He did not possess or familiarize himself with any of the extensive court filings submitted by the defense in support of the motion or by the plaintiff in opposition. Judge Marrazzo was not in any way familiar with the original motion. The judge did not even have a copy of the motion under consideration. A copy of the motion had to be provided to the judge by plaintiff. The judge then treated the pro se plaintiff dismissively and with disdain. Similar treatment was afforded other pro se litigants. These self-represented litigants were treated as mere impediments to the expeditious functioning of the court.

Every Judge should be as respectful of the process as this one. Clearly a judge who worked for a living and checks his ego at the door rather then trying to belittle the very people who allow his position to exist. The practice would be more pleasurable if more judges remembered what their purpose is like this one does.
