Had the pleasure of working with Justice Marx before I retired. A fair and extrenely knowledgeable jurist. Currently he is in Putnam County.

I find him to be an excellent judge - very fair and balanced. He doesn't lose his temper like some other judges in that courthouse.

The single best judge I have ever appeared before. Bright, effective, knowledgeable, articulate and hardworking. Really appreciates that the best case is a closed case and works to save the parties money by encouraging settlement. Currently assigned to Westchester matrimonial part. Best judge ever assigned there.

Judge Marx is the type of judge that we are lucky to have wear the robe! He is fair-minded, willing to research the law to try to make the correct ruling, and works harder than most judges I have observed. While I appreciate him as a trial judge, he would no doubt be excellent in the appellate division. Also, lest anyone think that this review is biased, my client did not prevail at trial before Judge Marx.

Only two years on the bench, and already one of the best judges. He knows how to run a courtroom: professionally and firmly. He runs a tight ship on deadlines, and works extremely hard to settle cases. He is highly intelligent and one of the hardest-working judges you will ever see. I just tried a case before him. He was spot-on in his rulings and gave both sides a clean trial. You could not ask for a better judge. I wish that he could be cloned.

To appear before Judge Marx is to realize just how starved we are for judges of his caliber. He's tough, he's fair, he's hard working, he's intelligent, and he has a remarkable memory. As an "outsider" from "the city" I was treated like a regular. He even expressed appreciation for the fact that I had to travel to get there. He worked very hard to resolve the case, and he succeeded. I can only say that I hope that my next Orange County case (if I ever have one) finds its way into his courtroom -- and if it does, I will fill the car with gas and breathe a sigh of relief.
